Congratulations to our Red Knight varsity wrestlers who qualified for the 2023 Minnesota High School League (MSHSL) Wrestling State Tournament:
- 145: Matthew Litchy ‘24 - 2nd Place
- 152: Jonathon Gettel ‘23 - 1st Place
- 160: Dontrell Daniels ‘23 - 2nd Place
- 182: Bryce Commerford ‘23 - 1st Place
Co-Head Wrestling Coach John DeLozier shared “This is the most state qualifiers our program has had since 2015, a testament to the hard work put in by these young men and the momentum we've created as a program!”
Red Knights qualify for State at Section 5AA tournament on Saturday, Feb. 25.
The four BSM student athletes qualified for the individual State competition after each placed in the Section 5AA tournament at Bloomington Kennedy High School on Saturday, Feb. 25.
The 2023 MSHSL Wrestling State Tournament will be held March 2 - 4 at The Xcel Energy Center in downtown St. Paul. BSM wrestlers will compete in the first round of Class AA wrestling on Friday, March 3, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Tickets and more information about the tournament can be found here.
Other winter season teams are also heading to the State Tournament this Friday, March 3, including BSM Wrestling, Boys’ Swimming and Mock Trial. The BSM community will send them off together with a parade through the school cheered on by classmates and faculty on Wednesday, March 1.
