This fall, Benilde-St. Margaret's is proud to present a captivating adaptation of Louisa May Alcott's novel, "Little Women." Taking place during the American Civil War, this heartwarming story follows the lives of the four March sisters - Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy - as they navigate the challenges of growing up, family bonds, and personal ambitions. This production promises to engage audiences of all ages, bringing timeless themes of love, sacrifice, and resilience to life on stage at BSM.

Under the direction of an experienced team of Jake Mahler '03 and Caroline Stroh '83, the cast of 25 student performers brings this classic piece of literature to life with fresh energy and creativity. An additional 11 students participated behind the scenes. Assistant stage manager Kaitlyn Cape '26 said, "There's something for everybody, even if you're not in the show. You can do tech, work backstage, or help with set building."

The students have dedicated countless hours to rehearsals, ensuring that every performance will be a testament to their hard work and talent. With an emphasis on character development and emotional depth, audiences can expect powerful performances that will resonate long after the curtain falls. Senior soundboard director, Owen Case expressed his enthusiasm and shared, "The actors put a lot of work in, along with us backstage, and we'd love to have everyone come and see our hard work!"

Whether you are a long time fan of the novel or new to the story, this adaptation promises to resonate with audiences young and old.
