Knightettes Head to State Once Again

Knightettes Head to State Once Again

Congratulations are in order for the BSM dance team as they gear up to compete at the 2024 Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) Tournament in both Jazz and Kick. This marks the BSM dance team’s 12th consecutive appearance in the State Tournament. What began in 2012 includes an impressive five championship wins during that span.

“Our journey to the state tournament is a testament to the unwavering strength and pride of this incredible team,” said coach Samantha Cameranesi, expressing pride in the team’s dedication, perseverance, and teamwork. “Through every twist and turn, triumph and setback, our motto ‘We Can. We Will. We Must’ echoed in our hearts, propelling us forward with nothing but motivation and love for one another.”

This year, the Jazz team finished as Section 2AA Champions, with Kick securing second place on Saturday, Feb. 3 in the section tournament at Totino-Grace High School.

“These dancers have not only mastered their art and routine but also the art of resilience,” said Cameranesi. “Their hard work and consistency have paved the way to this moment, and as we step onto the state floor, we carry not just routines but a story of pride, joy, unity, and an unshakeable belief that when this team dances as one, there’s no limit to what they can achieve.”

Be sure to join the sea of red that will watch them take the floor at the 2024 State Dance Tournament held in Target Center on Friday, Feb.16 and Saturday, Feb.17. Class AA Jazz qualifying begins at 2 p.m. on Friday and Class AA Kick begins at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

More information and tickets are available on the MSHSL dance tournament website. Regular updates will be provided on this announcement as the tournament progresses.

Good luck Red Knights! We are #BSMProud.
