The Benilde-St. Margaret’s senior high drama students look forward to presenting the anticipated Into the Woods this weekend. Showtimes run from Thursday, Oct. 26 - Saturday, Oct 28 at 7 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 29 at 2 p.m. in the Hamburge Theater on campus.

Into the Woods, is a timeless and beloved musical by American composer and lyricist, Stephen Sondheim, taking the audience on a whimsical journey following the lives of a baker, Jack, and his wife, Cinderella. Each character they encounter harbors a unique wish, leading them deep into the enchanted woods. As their paths cross, they discover that fulfilling their desires comes with unexpected consequences.

The show promises to be a magical theatrical experience, showcasing the creativity and passion of Benilde-St. Margaret’s senior high drama students. According to Kevin Murnan ‘24, “Students should suspect a very fun show, we’ve got a lot of music… It should be very fun.”

Their hard work and enthusiasm are echoed by Al Brown ‘25, “I’ve really enjoyed getting to know the new cast members, and also this show is a lot more challenging than some past shows have been… but I’ve really liked the challenge.”

Whether you are a fan of musical theatre or simply looking for a delightful evening out, this production is a must-see event for the entire family. This enchanting tale of wishes and consequences is set to captivate hearts!

Tickets for Into the Woods can be purchased online in advance or at the door on the day of the show. BSM students get in for free with a school ID.
