As the BSM community honors the Passion of Jesus Christ as He journeys to the cross and out of the grave, BSM Campus Minister Mike Jeremiah offers prayers and reflections.
Palm Sunday Prayer
MARCH 24, 2024 - PALM SUNDAY
“So they brought the colt to Jesus and put their cloaks over it. And he sat on it. Many people spread their cloaks on the road, and others spread leafy branches that they had cut from the fields. Those preceding him as well as those following kept crying out: ‘Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the kingdom of our father David that is to come! Hosanna in the highest!’” Mark 11:7-10
Holy Thursday Prayer
MARCH 28, 2024 - HOLY THURSDAY
“So when he had washed their feet and put his garments back on and reclined at table again, he said to them, ‘Do you realize what I have done for you? You call me ‘teacher’ and ‘master,’ and rightly so, for indeed I am. If I, therefore, the master and teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash one another’s feet. I have given you a model to follow, so that as I have done for you, you should also do.’” John 13:12-15
Good Friday Prayer
MARCH 29, 2024 - GOOD FRIDAY
On this Good Friday, we look to the cross and remember Jesus’ suffering and sacrifice, His great love for us. “Yet it was our infirmities that he bore, our sufferings that he endured, while we thought of him as stricken, as one smitten by God and afflicted. But he was pierced for our offenses, crushed for our sins; upon him was the chastisement that makes us whole, by his stripes we were healed.” Isaiah 53:4-5
Easter Sunday Prayer
MARCH 31, 2024 - EASTER SUNDAY
Alleluia, He is Risen! As we rejoice in God’s love for us through the resurrection of Jesus, I invite you to read and share this pray from Mike Jeremiah. May our Easter be bright with the hope and joy of our Savior who lives and redeems! “Jesus said to her, ‘Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you looking for?’ She thought it was the gardener and said to him, ‘Sir, if you carried him away, tell me where you laid him, and I will take him.’ Jesus said to her, ‘Mary!’ She turned and said to him in Hebrew, ‘Rabbouni,’ which means Teacher.” John 20:15-16
