The BSM Girls’ Volleyball team is headed to the state tournament! After sweeping Delano in 3 straight sets on Wednesday, Oct. 29, the girls will compete at Grand Casino Arena for the MSHSL Class 3A State Tournament. Throughout the season, BSM lost to Delano twice, but controlled the game when it mattered most in the section finals.
Head coach and BSM theology teacher Michael Becker said, “Sections went about as well as they could have in terms of preparation and how hard the team worked to get the job done.” These Red Knights stayed calm in the tough situations and pulled through when the pressure was on.
“We’re so excited to be back at the state tournament and look forward to the opportunity to compete for the state championship,” Becker said. The last time they went to the state tournament was back in 2022, when they placed 2nd. With their hard work and dedication, these Red Knights are ready to chase the championship trophy.
The team received the second overall seed in the 3A bracket. BSM will play Grand Rapids in the quarterfinal game. It will be Wednesday, Nov. 5, at 7 p.m. It will be held at Grand Casino Arena in St. Paul.

The Red Knights defeated the Grand Rapids Thunderhawks 3-0 at the Grand Casino Arena on Wednesday night. BSM will advance to the semifinal game against Stewartville on Friday, Nov. 7.
