  • Board of Directors

On Wednesday, July 20, Meghan DesLauriers ‘99 began serving as Interim President of Benilde-St. Margaret’s School, succeeding Dr. Adam Ehrmantraut who served as BSM President since February 2017.

As Interim President, Meghan will serve until a permanent president is named by the Board of Directors for the School. “We’re incredibly fortunate to have a leader like Meghan willing to step into the role and guide Benilde-St. Margaret’s during the coming months,” said Laura Portz, Chair of the BSM Board of Directors, “Meghan’s deep history with BSM, relationships in the community, leadership skills, and professional experience all position her well to lead our school during this important search for the next President of BSM.

An alum of BSM, DesLauriers is very familiar with our community. She also has a clear understanding of BSM’s strategic vision, having been on the Board of Directors from 2013 to 2019, serving as Board Secretary and chair of the Governance Committee.

“I’ve received an incredibly warm welcome back to BSM,” DesLauriers said. “In true Red Knight fashion, the community has stepped up to support me with enthusiasm and grace. I am grateful for everyone working to keep BSM a special place where students and families can thrive.”

In addition to serving on the Board, DesLauriers was named a BSM Distinguished Alum in 2019 for her generosity in the community and achievements in the corporate world, and she has remained active in the BSM community in the years since. Prior to assuming the role of Interim President, DesLauriers spent twelve years practicing law at Dorsey & Whitney LLP, where she was a partner in the firm’s trial group and held several firmwide leadership positions.

DesLauriers graduated from Northwestern University School of Law in 2008, and holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Boston College. Meghan’s husband Michael is also a BSM alumnus, and they have two daughters, ages three and six. The DesLauriers are members of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Edina.

The Presidential Search Committee is grateful to Meghan for accepting this position and is continuing the process of identifying the right person to build upon the strong foundation we have at BSM.

DesLauriers is looking forward to the start of the new school year on Tuesday, August 30. “It’s an honor to be back in the hallways of BSM,” DesLauriers said, adding, “I’m excited to see what the coming school year holds for this great community, and eager for the students and teachers to arrive back on campus in the fall.”
