Benilde-St. Margaret’s is pleased to announce its 51st Commencement Exercises will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025 beginning at 7 p.m.

Two-hundred and thirty-two members of the Class of 2025 will receive their diplomas from the BSM administration before hundreds of family and friends gathered on campus. A livestream of the event is available here:

Among those graduating from BSM are the Class of 2025 Top Ten. These students are being recognized as the ten students with the highest cumulative GPA at BSM over seven consecutive semesters.

“It is evident that these students have consistently given their best in their academic studies, and this recognition is a well-deserved reflection of their efforts,” said Matt Weingartz, senior high principal. “On behalf of President Hermanny and the entire BSM community, we congratulate them on this distinction and honor.”

In 2022, BSM added weighted grading to all AP courses,. and beginning with the Class of 2024, BSM transitioned from recognizing every student with a 4.0 or higher GPA as valedictorians to recognizing the ”Top Ten” in each senior class.

BSM’s Commencement Exercises will begin with a procession of the Class of 2025 and members of the BSM administration, faculty & staff. President Danielle Hermanny ‘03 will officially open the event with greetings to parents, families, and friends gathered, followed by an opening prayer by campus minister, Mike Jeremiah.

Senior Sebastian Cerda will offer the commencement speech for the Class of 2025 before assistant senior high principals, Matt McMerty-Brummer and Michael Kautzman, confer the diplomas to the members of the Class of 2025.

Benilde-St. Margaret's has graduated more than 12,500 since the 1974 merger between St. Margaret's Academy and Benilde High School. Like the alums from its legacy schools, BSM alums have made significant contributions to society in the fields of science, education, religious orders, the arts, government, and the corporate world.
