BSM Announces Open House Schedule

For Betsy Van Cleve, Benilde-St. Margaret’s holds a special place in her heart. As a 2006 graduate, she now serves as director of admissions at BSM, helping prospective families find a place for their students in grades 6-12 for the 2025-2026 school year.

“BSM continues to provide an unmatched Catholic, college preparatory education for families in the Twin Cities,” Van Cleve said, “Now is the time to invest in “what’s next” for our younger generation, and a BSM experience elevates and inspires students to go out into the world in a positive and meaningful way.”

The open house events allows families to visit BSM’s suburban campus, meet teachers, current students, and members of the administration, and ask the important questions about why BSM is a school of choice for many families. “Our Open House events affirm what families see online and hear about from friends and coworkers with students here at BSM,” explained Danielle Hermanny ‘03, BSM’s president, “The classroom experience ensures each student is known, loved, and prepared for graduation and life.”

This year, BSM is pleased to announce the following schedule of Open House events for families interested in applying for enrollment in grades 6-12:

The fall open house events ensure families can see firsthand how their investment in the education of their students will be realized. BSM’s strong academic program includes 185 electives, small classes with an average of 20 students, 27 college credit courses, and 24 AP courses.

The application process for the 2025-2026 school year opens on Tuesday, Oct. 1 while the priority application deadline is Sunday, Dec. 1, 2024. The priority deadline for TADS (Tuition Aid Data Services) applications is Sunday, Dec. 1. Applications received after December 1 will be reviewed on a rolling basis as space is available.

The academic results at BSM speak for themselves. Seventy-one high school students have received National Merit Scholar recognition in the last ten years; 12 AP Capstone diplomas awarded in 2024 to students with an average score of 3.45, and members of the Class of 2024 were awarded an average of $137K in scholarships.

In middle school, BSM faculty create a setting for students to make a seamless transition from elementary school to life as a pre-teen. The small classes ensure each student is nurtured with opportunities to learn at their own pace, including options to take courses at the high school level.

“There is a growing demand by families in the Twin Cities who want the strong foundation and grounding of a Catholic education for their children,” Hermanny explained, adding, "We are excited to introduce the Red Knight experience to families who want the best for their children.”
