Your Red Knight story starts here! Finding the right school is about more than academics. It's about discovering a community where students are known, challenged, supported, and encouraged to pursue their passions. Benilde-St. Margaret's (BSM) invites prospective students and their families to experience all that a Red Knight education has to offer at one of five Open House events throughout the 2026-27 school year.

Open Houses are a great way to get to know BSM firsthand. Families can tour the suburban campus, meet faculty, staff, students, and school leaders, and learn more about the academic, athletic, arts, and extracurricular opportunities available to students in grades 6-12. It's also a chance for prospective students to imagine themselves as part of the BSM community and ask questions about what makes the Red Knight experience distinctive.

This year's Open House schedule is:

As a Catholic, college-preparatory school serving nearly 1,000 students in grades 6-12, BSM offers the opportunities of a larger school with the personal attention of a close-knit community. Students benefit from 25 AP courses, 27 varsity sports, and more than 60 clubs and activities, all within a supportive environment where the 11:1 student-to-faculty ratio helps ensure every student is known and encouraged to grow. With average class sizes of 11 students in middle school and 21 in high school, students have opportunities to build meaningful relationships with teachers while discovering their strengths and interests.

BSM's rigorous college-preparatory curriculum challenges students to think critically, pursue ambitious academic goals, and develop the skills needed to succeed at the next level. Over the past ten years, 26 BSM students have received National Merit Scholar recognition, reflecting the school's commitment to academic excellence and preparing students for success beyond graduation. The results speak for themselves: more than 200 graduates from the Class of 2025 are now attending more than 80 colleges and universities, including UCLA, Boston College, Notre Dame, and the University of Michigan, among others.

Grounded in Catholic identity and the Lasallian tradition, students are encouraged to develop strong values, a sense of purpose, and a commitment to serving others. Faith formation and service learning are woven throughout the BSM experience, helping students shape the character, compassion, and sense of responsibility that will guide who they become. BSM is a welcoming community where students of all faiths and backgrounds are encouraged to pursue academic excellence, develop their talents, lead with character, and prepare for college and life beyond the classroom.

The application process for the 2027-2028 school year opens Thursday, October 1, 2026, with an early action application deadline of Friday, January 15, 2027. Applications received by the early action deadline will receive an admissions decision by email in mid-February. Applications received after January 15 will be reviewed on a rolling basis as space allows.

Families interested in tuition assistance should also be aware that the priority deadline for submitting a TADS (Tuition Aid Data Services) application is Tuesday, December 1, 2026. Applications submitted by this date receive priority consideration for tuition assistance. BSM awarded more than $1.9 million in tuition assistance for the 2025-2026 school year, with an average award of $9,000 per student. Tuition assistance is available to students who have been accepted to BSM.

Find your place, pursue your passions, and make your mark. We invite you and your student to experience the BSM difference for yourselves.

RSVP for an upcoming Open House, or schedule a private campus tour to discover what makes Benilde-St. Margaret's a special place to learn and grow.

Once a Red Knight, Always a Red Knight!
