Looking Back: Six Years as a Red Knight

Looking Back: Six Years as a Red Knight

Recently, on the way to my psychology class, I started to have flashbacks of 7th and 8th grade. Whether it was algebra with Mr. Hennen or 7th grade biology with Mrs. Zahedi, I could look into their classrooms and picture myself sitting there. As I passed through the junior high and into the north building, I felt very humbled knowing I was walking the same halls I had six years ago.

Spirit of Continual Improvement

Spirit of Continual Improvement

“There is literally something for everyone here. Think about it, we have a club devoted to the show Survivor," Jake says. Sarah adds: “That is one of the main reasons why we build a real sense of community at BSM.” Later in the conversation Anna suggests, “we should find ways to offer more language immersion experiences for the students.” These are actual comments from a few of our seniors at Benilde-St.

A Mathlete's Perspective

A Mathlete's Perspective

BSM prides itself on being a community where everybody can feel welcome. Whether you are eating lunch with friends or simply walking through the hallways, something about BSM always makes you feel at home. I think BSM’s strongest sense of community comes through in their vast array of clubs and activities. There are dozens of clubs offered at BSM with new ones starting each year so that each student is sure to find at least a couple that they enjoy.

Investing in Our Junior High

Investing in Our Junior High

The history of Benilde-St. Margaret’s School is often focused on the creation of two distinct schools – St. Margaret’s Academy and Benilde High School. The story further develops around the movement to save Benilde High School and the eventual closing of both St. Margare'ts Academy and Benilde High School so that a new school, Benilde-St. Margaret's could be formed.
