It is an honor being a student body representative, especially here at Benilde-St. Margaret's, for multiple reasons. One that always stands out to me in particular is the ambitious attitude that every student brings forward.

We are very proud to open BSM’s fall show; PIPPIN! We have spent many hours over the past month or so preparing, and while there have been a few bumps along the way, the process has been very rewarding.
Girls' Swimming Breaks Records!
Congratulations the entire BSM swim team on defeating the St. Louis Park (SLP) Orioles 51-43, which has not been done in many years! A special congratulations to Taylor Williams (’21) on breaking the 14-year-old BSM team record, as well as the SLP pool record in the 200 IM swim, with a time of 2:08.38! The relay team of Lauren Benedict (‘23), Elle Dickey (‘19), Syd Holinka (‘22) and Taylor Williams (‘21) also broke the St.
BSM Girls' Soccer Places 3rd at State!
In 13 years, the BSM girls' soccer team have won nine conference and section championships. They also have made an appearance in the state tournament nine times - this season they have done it again!
Congratulations to the BSM girls' soccer team as they took home the Section 5A title, defeating the Blake Bears 2-1 at Osseo High School on October 18! Amanda Cassidy - Ms. Soccer Finalist - made both goals in the second half to ensure their ticket to the Minnesota State High School State Tournament.

Senior High Fall Play
Don't miss the senior high fall musical production of "Pippin," October 25 - 27 at 7 p.m. and October 28 at 2 p.m.
"Pippin" uses the premise of a mysterious performance troupe, led by a Leading Player, to tell the story of Pippin, a young prince on his search for meaning and significance.
Knightettes Kids' Dance Clinic
The Knightettes Dance Team will host the 12th annual Kids' Dance Clinic Sunday, October 7, 1 - 3:30 p.m. All children preschool (age 4) through 6th grade are invited to attend, and no dance experience is necessary. Come and join the fun! Each participant will receive a clinic t-shirt and perform in a dance show for family and friends.Cost is $40 a dancer.
Now begins the best time of the year: fall sports time. With much anticipation, school cranks into gear and so does the spirit for the activities and athletics here at BSM. Pep fests, all school Mass, spirit days and all the other hype that comes along with the beginning of the school year, shows the true spirit of BSM. And, the mentality of the student-athletes is, focused and passionate.
Fishing Team Qualifies for State Tournament!
The BSM fishing club (created two years ago) made it to the state fishing tournament this last weekend with three Red Knight teams participating. To qualify, Grant (’20) and Axel (’20) placed 3rd in the SATT tournament on Lake Minnewaska. Grant caught the biggest bass in the tournament! Three teams qualified for Bass Nation in Grand Rapids based on total points earned in the Southwest metro conference: Grant and Axel, DJ (’20) and Hampton (’21), and Jack (’19) and Cole (’19). Clay (’23) also made the junior bass tournament of champions on Lake Minnetonka happening September 8!
