On May 29, BSM Boys' Basketball Coach, John Moore, officially announced his retirement after 24 years of coaching and leading the Red Knight boys' basketball program.
BSM senior Molly Segner was honored to represent the BSM Knightettes while participating in the Miss Dance Team USA National Competition, where she placed second in the nation in the solo division. Molly’s successful performance at the regional competition in October qualified her for the national competition with Team Minnesota, which took place in California from March 21-23.
The summer before our kids started at BSM, we already felt like we were a part of the community. My son Matthew, an incoming 9th grader, was encouraged to attend BSM summer lacrosse practices even before he had stepped foot inside the school. I remember it was late June and I dropped him off for a two-hour practice on the turf field. I was anxious. I didn't know what to expect, and I didn't know if he would fit in.
More Red Knights are headed to state! Congratulations to the boys’ swim team state qualifiers including Matt McGonigle - 200 free and 500 free, Johnny Freytag - 500 free, Liam Noble 100 back and last, the 400-relay team – McGonigle, Noble, Kevin Hollahan and Ryan Long.
The 2019 boys swim and dive state meet will be held February 28 – March 2 at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center on the University of MN campus.
Class A swimming preliminaries begin at noon on Friday, March 1, and finals will begin Saturday, March 2 at 11 a.m.
After their 3-2 victory over Wayzata in the section semi-finals Saturday, Feb. 23, the Red Knights Boys Hockey Team will compete in the section 6AA finals on Wednesday, Feb. 27.
The game will take place at 3M Arena at Mariucci at 8 p.m. where the Red Knights will face off against the Edina Hornets.
A huge congratulations to the Knightettes on their second place finish in Class AA Jazz and fourth place finish in Class AA Kick at the 2019 State Dance Tournament!
Not only is this an impressive accomplishment but this accolade also just so happens to fall on the 20th anniversary of the BSM dance team participating in the state competition. The team danced their hearts out leaving it all on the floor on Friday and Saturday at Target Center. Congratulations to the entire team!

Congratulations the entire BSM swim team on defeating the St. Louis Park (SLP) Orioles 51-43, which has not been done in many years! A special congratulations to Taylor Williams (’21) on breaking the 14-year-old BSM team record, as well as the SLP pool record in the 200 IM swim, with a time of 2:08.38!
