I think most people dread the term “summer school,” but not me. I get excited for summer school because for me summer school is BSM’s Summer Academy for Innovative Learning or SAIL. A professional development opportunity for teachers and administrators from around the Twin Cities, SAIL runs for two weeks every June.

Semester 1 Honor Roll
Congratulations to our Red Knight students that made Honor Roll semester one of the 2017-2018 school year! #BSMProud (click on the respective links below to see the list of students).
Here we are, deep into winter, and semester one at BSM has wrapped up. Students are getting settled in to the second half of their yearlong classes and adjusting to their new semester two classes. Many are reflecting on how things went during the first part of the year, deciding whether any changes need to be made.
This year is the first time that Biomed III has been offered at BSM. It is the last of the cumulative series of Biomedical classes, and it is much different than the past two courses. The class is research based, and if anyone knows anything about research, there’s a lot that could go wrong. So far, we have had a few hiccups but nothing that we didn’t expect.
Benilde-St. Margaret’s School offers our students a challenging college preparatory curriculum that guides each individual toward his/her “highest potential in body, spirit and mind." In that light, each fall our students and families focus on future college and university choices. A vast majority of our seniors prepare college applications to meet the national November 1 deadline. Many others, at various grade levels, visit college campuses.
Parent-teacher conferences are Thursday, November 2, 4-8 p.m. and Friday, November 3, Noon-5:30 p.m. Conferences are in the Haben Center, and no appointments are necessary. (Teachers will be rotating for breaks between 2:45 - 4:15 p.m.)
Annually, schools define goals for the year ahead that are linked to a longer-term strategic plan. These goals generally influence resource allocation, professional learning, policies, procedures and many other school functions all designed to create a more meaningful experience for students, families and alumni.
