March Madness

In Minnesota, we count down the days to see real green grass and flowers as winter holds its grip outside as long as possible. Inside, BSM celebrates the start of spring with activities and a determination that eventually we can again pull out those shorts and flip flops.

This year's March Madness Week at BSM is Monday, Mar. 24 - Friday, Mar. 28, 2025. 

Students, faculty & staff, and families are invited to participate in the following activities:

BSM March Madness Spirit Week

Get ready for an exciting week of school spirit, basketball fun, and prizes!

Dress-Up Days:

• Monday, March 24 – Pajama Day
• Tuesday, March 25 – College Sweatshirt Day
• Wednesday, March 26 – Monochrome Day
• Thursday, March 27 – Jersey Day
• Friday, March 28 – Spirit Day

Morning Spirit Ticket Drawings

You can earn spirit tickets by dressing up. Then each morning, a spirit ticket drawing will be held. If your name is called, you’ll have the chance to take a half-court or three-point shot in the Great Hall during homeroom—so be ready! Winners will receive a big prize, and we’ll create a highlight reel of the best shots to share with homerooms at the end of the week.

March Madness Bracket Challenge

Join the BSM March Madness Bracket Challenge and compete for prizes! Students and faculty can submit brackets for the men’s, women’s, or both NCAA tournaments. The top 5 girls and top 5 boys with the best brackets will win a prize.

To participate, fill out the BSM March Madness Bracket Signup Form. You’ll receive an email next week with instructions on how to complete your bracket. Only BSM email addresses can be used to enter.

Pep Fest

We’ll wrap up the week with an exciting Teacher vs. Student basketball game at the Pep Fest. Sign up here if you want to participate! Plus a special spirit ticket prize drawing will happen during halftime.
