Prom

Prom night signifies the conclusion of the school year, serving as a memorable celebration for seniors who have dedicated years to learning, friendship, and school spirit. It often marks the last occasion the entire class gathers before graduation, symbolizing the transition into adulthood.

BSM's Prom is an elegant affair open to juniors, seniors, and their guests. The event includes an optional Grand March, a formal dinner, and a dance, with the location changing annually to ensure a fresh and exciting experience for attendees.

Get ready to shine at our Prom: A Knight in New York City, where the spirit of the Big Apple awaits! Benilde-St. Margaret’s is thrilled to announce that the prom for 2024 will be held on Saturday, April 27 at Nicollet Island Pavilion. Join us for a spectacular night amidst the energy and excitement of New York City! Please see below for additional information and guidelines for the evening.

Grand March Information:
Date: Saturday, April 27, 2024
Time: 5:30 p.m.
  - Arrive by 5:15 p.m. and line up in the Great Hall 
Location: BSM Theater

Grand March is a short ceremony prior to Prom where guests can show off their dresses and tuxedos and pose for a photo with their date or a group of friends. Guests will be introduced to the audience and will also have time for photos. Parents, siblings and other family/friends are invited to attend in the Hamburge Theater.

Students should arrive by 5:15 p.m. and line up in the Great Hall. They will fill out a slip with the names of a couple or group of up to four friends. Once students are announced, they will walk across the stage and pause in the middle for a photo opportunity. You are invited to take a quick photo of students on stage or with family in the Atrium before leaving for Prom. 

Prom Information:
Prom: 7 -10 p.m., must arrive by 7 p.m.
Location: Nicollet Island Pavilion: 40 Power Street, Minneapolis, MN 55401
Dinner:  7:15 p.m., buffet with GF and vegetarian options
Cost: $100
Attendees: juniors and seniors only
BSM juniors and seniors may bring one guest from outside BSM who are also a junior or a senior.  Guests must have a Guest Form completed and on file and have a current Student ID to enter.

Prom offers an opportunity for our BSM students to dress up and attend a formal event with their classmates.  Students are able to choose their seating arrangements with round tables that seat eight students. A Tuscan-themed dinner buffet will be served featuring artisan rolls, classic Caesar salad, chicken parmesan, mostaccioli marinara, roasted vegetables, and creamy gruyere potatoes. For dessert, there will be an irresistible array of cakes. Music will be supplied from a DJ and will include multiple songs requested by our own BSM students. Tuition will be charged $100 to attend this event.

Transportation
Students have the option to ride a bus from BSM or drive themselves. Free parking is available outside of Nicollet Island Pavilion.
