Junior High Knowledge Bowl

Knowledge Bowl offers 7th and 8th graders the opportunity to compete in academic competition against other schools from around the metro area. Teams consist of six players, and students answer questions from all areas of learning in both written and oral rounds.


Senior High Knowledge Bowl/Quiz Bowl

Knowledge Bowl/Quiz Bowl allows students in grades 9-12 to compete in academic competition involving both written and oral rounds. The questions come from a wide variety of areas, including history, science, math, english, art, current events, geography, politics, entertainment, etc. Teams consist of four members and compete in both Knowledge Bowl and Quiz Bowl meets. We are a friendly, fun bunch and are always looking for new members. If you know and like trivia, this is the fun no-stress activity for you!

Knowledge Bowl

Teams of 4-5 students
5 students participate in the written round
4 students participate in the oral rounds (can rotate between rounds)
 
Competitions at Academy of Holy Angels (6600 Nicollet Ave, Richfield, MN 55423)
Students are dismissed at 2:00 p.m. for the competitions to carpool.
Meet 1 - Thursday, Dec. 8
Meet 2 - Tuesday, Jan. 24
Meet 3 - Tuesday, Feb. 7
 
Bring cash to purchase pizza for dinner or bring your own food.
Plan to be picked up between 7:30 - 8:00 p.m.
 

Quiz Bowl

Teams of 4+ students
4 players participate at a time in 4 matches each meet (can rotate at half-time & breaks)
 
Competitions at Wayzata High School (4955 Peony Lane N, Plymouth, MN 55446)
Please arrive between 5:35 - 5:40 p.m.
Meet 1 - Thursday, Nov. 3
Meet 2 - Thursday, Dec.1
Meet 3 - Thursday, Jan. 12
 
Please eat prior to the meet and/or bring snacks/food for dinner. Plan to be picked up between 8:00 - 8:30 p.m.

Time Commitment:
JH Knowledge Bowl competes during the winter sports and activities season. Practices are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There are five meets over the course of the season.

SH season runs from late October to February, and practices are held on Wednesdays and Thursdays in the CUBE from 2:45 - 3:45 p.m.
