Literary highlights include Emma Cella's evocative coastal coming-of-age story and sweeping creation myth, Tessa Erickson's searingly relatable personal essay on the pressures of high-achieving adolescence, and a wickedly clever satirical letter to Google that is both hilarious and unexpectedly poignant.

Ruby Nguyễn captivates on multiple fronts with a moving bilingual French-English short story about empathy and assumption, while the visual arts section dazzles with Tobi Ingwalson's luminous landscape photography, Henry Moen's paintings on skimboards, and Addison Winters' intricate pen-and-ink illustrations.

From Kierstin Ehmiller's bilingual "Ode to Cherries" to Ellie Kinkead's sharp film criticism, Apotheosis 2026 announces, with quiet authority, that something exciting is going on at BSM.
