Benilde-St. Margaret’s is a premiere Catholic school because of the generosity of benefactors who believe in our mission to provide every Red Knight with the best educational opportunities while offering tuition at an affordable rate.

Events like the BSM annual gala & auction raise funds which are needed to close the gap between the cost of educating each student and the tuition rate charged.

During the gala, the Fund-a-Need campaign addresses the tuition gap of approximately $2,500 per student, a total of nearly $2.8 million each year. Fund-a-Need also ensures BSM is able to provide additional tuition assistance to more than 20% of our student population. 

By attending the gala, you can support the Fund-a-Need campaign and help keep a BSM education accessible for every Red Knight. 

The annual gala includes both a silent and live auction with a variety of items available for bidding on the day of the event.

The online auction preview goes live one week before the gala and features a great selection of:

• Get-away adventures
• Upscale dinners
• In-home experiences
• Sports memorabilia
• and many more exciting items!

Funds raised during the auctions support our Annual Fund, ensuring BSM can continue to offer our robust educational programs in an inviting and dynamic campus by:

• Upgrading technology, hardware, and software for student learning,
• Initiating upgrades to classrooms so our students have the best learning environment, and
• Continuing to update our building HVAC and roof.

Funds also offset the rising costs of the BSM athletics and activities programs. This includes our award-winning clubs and teams:

• Robocup,
• Speech,
• Debate,
• a cappella choirs
• Drama,
• Math League,</li>
• Yearbook and newspaper,
• Knowledge and Quiz Bowl,
• Mock trial, and
• our girls' lacrosse and basketball teams!

BSM has more than 70+ sport teams and activities for students to explore their interests and find their passions!

The 2024 gala & auction, A Knight in Paris, will be held beginning at 5 p.m.
on Saturday, Nov. 9, at The View, located at the Minneapolis Event Center.
