Endowment & Special Projects

A healthy endowment is the key to the future strength and success of Benilde-St. Margaret's mission to provide an exceptional Catholic education. Also, deeply rooted in our values is to guarantee access and affordability to this education. Your gift to the endowment enables BSM to demonstrate this value and successfully execute our mission.

Endowed gifts $50,000 or greater, paid over a span of time, can be named to honor a beloved individual or class year. Creating an endowment is easy, as we can accept gifts of cash or securities, outright or deferred through a planned gift.

An investment well worth it
Through the generous support of partners such as you, 16% of our current students receive some tuition assistance, allowing them to experience the value a BSM education offers. Unfortunately, there are many more students who qualify for tuition assistance that we cannot fully meet. A gift to an Endowed Scholar Award means more students will have the chance to enrich our community for years to come.

How does an endowed gift differ from annual giving?
Endowment gifts are invested. A portion of the annual income from the investment is used each year to provide for immediate tuition assistance. The principal funds are not spent and ensure indefinite support for BSM. Annual Fund gifts, by contrast, are spent in the same year given, and are used entirely to support the operating budget of BSM.

Questions?
If you would like to learn more about how you can support our students by donating to an existing fund or establishing your own scholar award, please contact Ben Smith, chief advancement officer at 952-915-4351 or bsmith@bsmschool.org.
