How to Apply to BSM

Applications for the 2024-2025 school year are open and continue to be reviewed on a rolling basis as space is available.

Our goal throughout the admissions process is to ensure a smooth and efficient process, and our admissions portal helps us create that experience. BSM's admissions team takes a holistic approach to our review of future Red Knight students. You can learn more about our admissions philosophy and standards here.

Set Up your admissions account

BSM's required application items include:

An application
Transcript information from the last two years
- Please use our Transcript Request Form to obtain this information
One teacher/educator recommendation form
- A BSM specific form sent directly to your selected educator
A candidate video statement
- A casual introduction to your prospective Red Knight
An admissions exam (for students entering grades 7-9)
- 7th and 8th grade applicants will take a junior high specific exam; 9th grade applicants will take the Pre-ACT 8/9

Priority Application Deadline

Friday, Jan. 5, 2024
The admissions committee will begin reviewing applications for the 2024-2025 school year. Applications submitted by the priority application deadline are guaranteed first review by the admissions committee. Applications received after the priority deadline will be reviewed on a rolling basis as space is available. Learn more about the application process.

Incoming 7th, 8th, and 9th Grade Admissions Testing

Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024 at 8 a.m. or Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024 at 4 p.m.
The BSM admissions team requests that all 7th, 8th, and 9th grade applicants take our admissions test on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024. Incoming 7th and 8th grade applicants will register for a customized test focusing on Math, English and Writing, and incoming 9th grade applicants will register for the PreACT 8/9 exam. If you cannot make the exam on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024, please make every attempt to register for the alternate testing date on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024. After these dates, BSM will administer additional testing opportunities on a bi-weekly basis.

The results from this exam are not only one of the tools that our admissions committees use during our review process, but they help with future placement in classes for registered Red Knights. The BSM admissions team will communicate more information about logistics throughout the application process.

Your prospective student should not need to study in preparation for this exam.

Tuition Assistance (TADS) Priority Application Deadline

The priority deadline for TADS applications is Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024. If tuition assistance will be a part of your family’s decision for joining the Red Knight community, please contact the admissions team to discuss your options or visit our tuition assistance information page. There is a specific process for applying for financial support. Funds are almost always distributed on a first come, first serve basis. Learn more.
