Senior Parents' Time of Reflection

Meet with fellow parents of seniors to discuss life after graduation. Campus Minister Mike Jeremiah will facilitate this unique opportunity to reflect on where you’ve been and where you are headed. RSVP to 1 of the 3 options:

February Event - Be Extraordinary, Be You!

Randy and Heather Bacchus lost their 21 year old son, Randy Michael, to cannabis induced psychosis, leading to his suicide in 2021. Delving into the current state of cannabis and the available research has provided Randy and Heather with valuable insights. Their journey to understanding the circumstances surrounding their son's passing has equipped them with a wealth of information that they are willing to share with our BSM community.  Learn more about Be Extraordinary, Be You! 

February Event - Touching Teen Hearts

Campus Minister Mike Jeremiah will facilitate a discussion of best practices in leading our young people to a closer relationship with God and a deeper understanding of God’s unique plan for each of them. A portion of the time will include a panel of students who will share those things that impact their faith journey, helping them realize their need for and reliance on God.

November Event - Psychological Wellness Begins at Home

Our children are more stressed and anxious than any time in modern history. How we parent and manage emotions at home can protect our children and bolster their emotional resilience, or it can hinder development and make things worse. This session will focus on parenting strategies that promote healthy psychological development.

Join Dr. Elizabeth Carter on Thursday, Nov. 16 from 6:30 - 8 p.m. in the BSM Library for the November Just for Parents speaker series. She will discuss how to help children manage the influences of technology, pressures of modern life, and common parenting mistakes will be discussed. Parents will leave with concrete strategies to help their children thrive. Light refreshments will be provided.

October Event - Managing Expectations

Join Kate Berry, BSM Guidance and College Counselor, and Dr. Jules Nolan, BSM School Psychologist, on Thursday, Oct. 5 from 8 - 9:30 a.m. in the Library Conference Room as they discuss the importance of managing expectations and how to avoid the mindset “you are only as good as your numbers." Coffee and Pastries provided.

September Event - BSM Resources

Join us for a panel of Learning Support specialists and BSM Guidance/Chemical Health Counselors on Thursday, Sept. 7 from 12:30 - 2 p.m. in the Library Conference Room. They will share about their roles and how the faculty and staff at BSM are equipped to support your student so they can thrive as a Red Knight!
