As a Parent Ambassador, current parents serve as a vital resource for new families joining the BSM community. A Parent Ambassador is the first contact many new parents have to BSM. Each volunteer will be assigned up to 4 new families and will be assigned using grade-level and geographic data. Volunteers reach out to their new families in the summer and continue to offer support and answer questions into the fall and spring. In addition, Parent Ambassadors are encouraged to attend New Parent Picnics at the start of the school year as well as other new parent welcome events. Contacting new families can be done around your schedule and we typically seek volunteers for new parent events on weeknights during the early fall and spring.
