Each year the BSM community chooses a scripture theme to help focus our attention to the love of God and love of each other in a special way. The scripture theme is a reminder that as a faith community, we come together to build God's kingdom.
2018-2019 Scripture Theme: “You are the light of the world. A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden...Just so your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father.” Matthew 5:14,16
Bringing the Scripture Theme to Life:
Each year, Director of Vocal Music Nancy Stockhaus brings the scripture theme to life with her musical talents.
"Over the past eight years, I have written a song which reflects the text of the scripture theme. Often after getting the scripture verse, I walk into the chapel and play around on the piano until it springs to life. I do feel God talking to me in these moments inspiring me to write this music," Ms. Stockhaus said.
