Beginning this year, Bound will serve as the primary home for Benilde-St. Margaret's Athletics & Activities. In addition to registration, Bound provides families with a centralized location for:

• Team schedules
• Practice and game calendars
• Rosters
• Coach and parent communication (following registration you are added to our coaches contact list)
• Team information
• Event tickets
• Athletics & Activities updates

We are excited to bring everything together under one platform to provide a more streamlined experience for our families. 

Registering is Easy

1. Log in to your existing Bound account or create a new account.
2. Create your family profile (if you haven't already).
3. Add your student(s) to your family.
4. Select your student's Fall sport or activity.
5. Complete all required registration forms and finish the registration process.

A Few Important Notes

• Please complete all required registration forms and ensure every registration step has been completed prior to the start of your student's fall season.
• Winter and Spring sports are not yet open for registration. Registration for those seasons will be communicated at a later date.
• Activities that begin in the fall and have an associated participation fee are available for registration in Bound now.
• Activities without a participation fee will have registration information communicated directly by the respective moderator as their season or activity approaches.

Every athletic and activity program at BSM is open to students regardless of skill level, giving each Red Knight the chance to try something new or pursue a passion they already have.

 The vast majority of our programming is non-cut, with a few sport-specific exceptions.

Yes! So long as multi-activity participation is pre-approved by the coach/moderator, we strongly encourage multi-activity participation.

As a member school of the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL), BSM is required to collect a physical/medical form, including an Annual Health History, for any student participating in a co-curricular activity.

• The form must be dated within the last three years, carry a doctor's signature, and state that the student is eligible to participate. Any format your doctor or clinic uses is accepted. A copy of the MSHSL form is available if needed.
• Completed forms can be uploaded during registration, faxed to 952-926-5764, or emailed to jkoski@bsmschool.org.
• New families and transfer students should note that previous schools do not forward physical/medical forms as part of any records transfer.
• Free high school sports physicals are offered by TRIA at tria.com/physicals.

BSM sponsors both MSHSL and non-MSHSL sports. MSHSL sports are governed by the Minnesota State High School League, the organization that oversees interscholastic athletics and fine arts activities across the state, including schedules, eligibility, and postseason tournaments. Non-MSHSL sports, sometimes called club teams, are BSM-sponsored programs that compete outside the MSHSL structure, such as bowling, mountain biking, clay target, sailing, and ultimate.

BSM competes as a member of the Metro West Conference for MSHSL athletics.

BSM is committed to a safe and welcoming environment for all participants, spectators, and officials, and asks everyone to be positive in their support of the Red Knights. There is no place for behavior that promotes disrespect, hate, or harm. Spectators are expected to be positive, focus on their own team, and be respectful of all players, fans, opponents, and game personnel. Taunting, personal attacks, profanity, and racially, culturally, politically, or sexually charged language have no place at BSM events, and anyone who does not meet these expectations may be removed. BSM charges co-curricular fees to help cover the cost of the sports, clubs, and activities available to Red Knights. There are three types of fees:

• Annual co-curricular fee: $50 for every student in grades 6-12.
• Seasonal participation fee, for students who take part in a sport or select co-curricular activity:
  • Grades 6-8: $100 per season, up to $300 for the year.
  • Grades 9-12: $200 per season, up to $600 for the year.
• Additional facility fee, for three co-curriculars that use external facilities (grades 6-12):
  • Hockey: $800
  • Swimming: $200
  • Golf: $200

Which co-curriculars have a participation fee?

Most MSHSL sports and competitive academic activities carry a seasonal participation fee, while many clubs and non-MSHSL activities have no participation fee beyond the $50 annual co-curricular fee.

We took a holistic view at the breadth of activities and applied the participation fee to those activities where the cost to the school of providing them had increased significantly over time.

The fees are intended to cover a portion of the overall cost to BSM for providing these activities. The fees do not cover items such as trips, meals, external trainers, and other costs that are team-specific.

We do not expect the fees to increase yearly, though they will likely increase periodically depending on various factors. BSM will communicate to the school community in advance of any school year where fees will increase.

The annual co-curricular fee ($50) will help support the wide range of clubs and other activities that are available for all students to take advantage of over the course of their career at BSM. In addition to existing programs, we will continue to add new clubs based on student interest and initiative. The co-curricular fee will help support this practice of encouraging community and interest exploration.

When assessing options for addressing the rising cost of athletic and select co-curricular activities, we determined that the most equitable solution was to charge fees to the students taking part in specific programs with higher costs associated with them.

These fees are not new to these co-curriculars. An additional fee is charged for these particular activities that utilize external facilities.

No. Regardless of the level of activity, all middle school students participating in activities that fall within the participation fee are charged the lower middle school rate.

No. Families who receive financial aid will not be charged co-curricular fees.

The annual co-curricular fee ($50) will be assessed to all students at the beginning of the school year. The seasonal fee will be assessed each season, after rosters have been finalized. The fees will be charged in the same way as all other fees, through Blackbaud Tuition Management.
