As the school year ended, Opus construction crews set up shop in between the Moore Library and the Hamburge Theater. On June 15, construction began on phase one of the Imagine. Innovate. Inspire. Knight by Knight capital campaign. Three state-of-the-art science labs and an amphitheater-style performance and classroom space are scheduled to be complete later this upcoming school year. It’s an exciting time to be a Red Knight!
Construction for new learning spaces could not be possible without our community of parents, alumni and friends investing in current and future students. The Imagine. Innovate. Inspire. Knight by Knight capital campaign kicked off in November 2016 and has been gaining momentum ever since. Our goal is to raise $8 million to fund facilities redesign, curricular enhancements and scholarship development.
We are very proud to announce that we have raised $6.2 million towards the campaign goal. Currently, more than 90 families have pledged or paid commitments to this campaign. And, the BSM faculty and staff have generously given $62,000 to this project. The campaign’s energy and commitment are great and continue to grow!
Reaching the $8 million campaign goal will allow BSM to complete:
Phase One Construction: build three science laboratories, one specially equipped for biomedical science courses, and a fourth tiered classroom and performance space. Construction has started with anticipated completion in spring 2019.
Phase Two Construction: build an innovation learning and support center and modernize 10 classrooms. Anticipated to start construction summer of 2019 for student use in 2019-20 school year.
Curricular Enhancements: add AP Physics, AP Chemistry and BioMed Research 1 & 2 courses for senior high and new STEM course offerings for junior high.
Scholarship Development: increase our endowment (currently near $11M) for tuition assistance to ensure more families have access to a BSM education.

We will continue with our one-on-one meetings to get to the $8 million goal so that we can give our students everything they deserve.
