Red Knights Return to BSM for 2019-2020 School Year

Red Knights Return to BSM for 2019-2020 School Year

It has been a fun-filled week at BSM with students roaming the halls once again!

On Monday, we gave a warm Red Knight welcome to new students as we kicked off Orientation Day. Our senior high Link Crew leaders brought energy and guidance to the Class of 2023 while our WEB (Where Everybody Belongs) leaders in the junior high greeted our new 7th and 8th graders with enthusiasm!

Additionally, each student received a special magnet on their locker this week displaying  our scripture theme for the year:

“Let us then pursue what leads to peace and to building up one another.” – Romans 14:19

Our Red Knights set out on this mission when they walked through our front doors on the first day of school. Faculty and staff enjoyed seeing the smiling faces of students as they greeted friends and found their way to class!

Many of our Red Knight teams kicked off their seasons this week including Girls’ Tennis with a win over Wayzata, Boys’ Soccer defeating Marshall, Girls’ Soccer beating DeLaSalle, Girls’ Swim/Dive making a splash at the Mound Westonka Invite, and Volleyball sweeping all three sets against Mpls Washburn! Football and Cross Country worked hard in practice this week while our fishing and cycling teams had success at their respective tournaments. We are proud of our clubs and athletics programs that bring this community together.

Last but not least, Red Knight spirit was palpable at the LIVE KARE 11 video shoot early Friday morning in anticipation for the first home football game where BSM defeated Orono 21-7. Congratulations to the BSM Football Team, and thank you to all who participated in the video shoot! Watch a recap of the segment here.

We love our BSM community and are looking forward to another great school year!
