New Members Join BSM Board of Directors
Benilde-St. Margaret’s School has named the Board of Directors for the 2020-2021 school year. Officers include Jim Vogl (chair), Laura Portz (vice chair), Dr. Adam Ehrmantraut (president), Fran McCloskey (treasurer), and John Vonhof (secretary).
In addition, the board announces the appointments of two new directors, Mark Sanderson and Perry Schmidt. BSM President Adam Ehrmantraut expressed his excitement surrounding their membership, "Mark has been involved in BSM's strategic efforts for several years and we are excited to add his leadership and experience in the nonprofit world to our Board. In addition, Perry's been a part of the BSM community for over a decade. His professional connection to schools, business acumen, and organizational leadership will add great value to the BSM community."
Mark Sanderson, a resident of Hopkins, is the managing program director at Margaret A. Cargill Philanthropies who leads strategy and planning for the organization’s Environment and Disaster Relief & Recovery domains. He has been a member of the BSM community for eight years and has served on the Advancement Committee since 2013. Mark and his wife, Katy, are the parents of Red Knights Christian '18 and Mia '21. The family attends St. Gabriel’s parish.
Perry Schmidt, a resident of Wayzata, is the Principal of the SitelogIQ-Midwest division with expertise in business leadership and development, finance, and board strategy. He and has been a member of the BSM community for 17 years. Perry and his wife, Anne, are the parents of four Red Knights, Megan '09, Ellen '11, Emily '15, and Michael '19. The family attends St. Bartholomew Parish.
We welcome these new directors as we thank departing board members - Jeff Olejnik ’86, Mark Scherer ’86, and Shay Wyley – for their many years of faithful service. The new directors began their three-year terms on July 1, 2020.
