Knight Errant Students Join Local and National Media at NCAA Final Four Press Day

Knight Errant students attended the U.S. Basketball Writers Association Full Court Press at the U.S. Bank Stadium for the 2019 NCAA Men's Basketball Final Four. Seven Red Knights were among the 60 journalists in attendance including Brooks Carver (’20), Luke Mathwig (’20), Kailyn Pedersen (’19), Jack Shields (’20), Harry Madden (’20), Brendan Amaris (’20) and Zachary Zeman (’20).

Upon arriving, students picked up their credentials and were treated just the same as the local and national media in attendance. They had the opportunity to participate in a panel discussion with professional sports journalists, sit courtside during practice and the all-star game, attend a press conference and an award ceremony.

Junior Brooks Carver described it as a “once-in-a-lifetime experience.” He also shared the best part of the day was “attending the Oscar Robertson Player of the Year Award and the Associated Press Player of the Year Award presentation press conference,” all while sitting among some of the most well-known sports writers.

Thanks to the Knight Errant adviser Kari Koshiol for helping coordinate this amazing real-world learning experience for our Red Knights!
