Grandparents' Day 2019
The students of Benilde St. Margaret’s had the opportunity to show appreciation for their grandparents the morning of Friday, October 4, 2019 in celebration of Grandparents’ Day.
To kick off the event, Guest Speaker and BSM Grandparent Ed Kocourek gave a wonderful speech as he welcomed the more than 1,200 Red Knights and grandparents who filled the Haben Center.
Students and their grandparents attended Mass, where Father Tim Wozniak gave a beautiful Homily, and led a special Blessing of Grandparents. Attendees also shared in the Eucharist, and were graced with the musical talents of the BSM Choir and Orchestra under the direction of Ms. Nancy Stockhaus, Mr. Ryan Werdon, and Mr. Steven Leung.
After Mass, students showed their grandparents around the school, and had a wonderful breakfast thanks to BSM’s Taher staff!
BSM is so grateful for everything the grandparents in our community have done for their grandchildren and always enjoy hosting them at our school.
There are many families with multiple generations of Benilde High School, St. Margaret’s Academy, and Benilde-St. Margaret’s alumni, making Grandparents’ Day a special experience and an opportunity for grandparents to revisit their high school.
Thanks to all who make Grandparents’ Day possible and to our wonderful grandparents present today, those unable to attend, and those grandparents with us in spirit who we continue to keep in our hearts.
