BSM Senior High Principal Dr. Susan Skinner Receives MISF 2020 Leadership Award
Benilde-St. Margaret’s Senior High Principal, Dr. Susan Skinner, has received the Leadership Award from the Minnesota Independent School Forum.
The MISF Leadership Award recognizes the hard work and dedication of school heads, presidents, principals, superintendents, and executive directors. Those who instill passion in the people with whom they work, demonstrate the highest integrity, effectively communicate to help move change forward, and advocate for the importance of private/independent education in Minnesota are worthy of this award, all of which Dr. Skinner exemplifies.
Dr. Skinner has been the senior high principal at BSM for 13 years, during which time she has had an incredible impact on the Red Knight community. Most recently, she played an instrumental role in the creation of BSM’s Strategic Plan 2025 Rich History. Radiant Future. Dr. Skinner continuously pushes academic programs to places that are forward thinking which was demonstrated throughout the planning process.
Dr. Skinner is extremely connected to efforts designed to help our students grow in faith, especially in conjunction with our Lasallian charism. In fact, her expertise and strong communication abilities earned her a trip to Rome to participate in the Lasallian Association Program at the Christian Brothers Generalate last fall.
Her character and leadership qualities are exceptional and noticed by many. “The piece most obvious,” President Dr. Adam Ehrmantraut says, “is that she sees the best in people and the positive side in any situation. She is highly relational and always thinking about connection.”
Congratulations, Dr. Skinner! We are thankful for your leadership and the positive impact you have made in the BSM community!
