Junior High Knowledge Bowl

Junior High Knowledge Bowl offers 7th and 8th graders the opportunity to compete in academic competition against other schools from around the Metro area. Teams consist of six players, and students answer questions from all areas of learning in both written and oral rounds.

Time Commitment: Junior High Knowledge Bowl competes during the winter sports and activities season. Practices are held twice weekly (Tuesdays and Thursdays). There are five meets over the course of the season.

Senior High Knowledge Bowl/Quiz Bowl

Knowledge Bowl/Quiz Bowl allows students in grades 9-12 to compete in academic competition involving both written and oral rounds. The questions come from a wide variety of areas, including history, science, math, English, art, current events, geography, politics, entertainment, etc. Teams consist of four members, and we compete in both Knowledge Bowl and Quiz Bowl meets. We are a friendly, fun bunch and are always looking for new members. If you know and like trivia, this is the fun no-stress activity for you!

Time Commitment: Our season runs from late October to February, and practices are held twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting in late October.  Competitions will be virtual.

Tuesday, Feb 8 -- Results

  • The Executives team of Sebastian Cerda, Austin Cronk, Jonathan McMerty-Brummer and Luke Sauer scored the second highest score on the written round.
  • The Bowler Express team of Danny Bruer, Elijah Vroman, Max Jackson, Charlie Parece, Luke Evans and Aidan Traverse scored the second highest overall score of the evening.

Advancing to sub-regional competition on Tuesday, February 15 at 3:30 PM at Prior Lake HS

  • 35th place - The Executives - Sebastian Cerda, Austin Cronk, Jonathan McMerty-Brummer and Luke Sauer
  • 43rd place - The Senate - Milla Mirkovic, Grace Ehrmantraut, Andrew Benham and Michael McDonald

Advancing directly to regional competition on Tuesday, March 1 at 1:30 PM at North High School in St. Paul

  • 6th place - The Bowler Express - Danny Bruer, Elijah Vroman, Max Jackson, Charlie Parece, Luke Evans and Aidan Traverse
