Summer Courses
BSM is pleased to offer a variety of summer courses for students. Enrolling in a summer course is a great way for students to work toward graduation requirements, learn alongside peers, and enrich their minds during summer break. Choose from the following options:

Propel
This 3-day class will provide incoming freshmen with opportunities to develop their organizational and time management skills.
Dates of course: Monday, Aug. 12 - Wednesday, Aug. 14
Time: 8:30 a.m. - 12 noon
Frequency: Students will meet in person each day
Location: BSM Campus / Room 104
Cost: $75 (due Wednesday, May 1, 2024, this is a no-credit class)

- Students will get an introduction of what to expect in high school at BSM
They will learn about helpful resources, mass, convocations, service, schedules, lunches, dress code, etc. - Students will gain helpful tips to increase success in high school
They will learn how to effectively plan, organize, study, take tests, take notes and self-advocate. - Students will receive their computers to be used during the school year
They will receive assistance on how to login to PowerSchool and Schoology, and how to request help during the school year as needed. - Students will get a head start to be ready for the first semester
They will have an opportunity to work on their summer assignments for English and be ready for the first day of class of high school at BSM.

Engineering in the Summer
BSM offers students the opportunity to complete Engineering Mindsets as a summer course.
Dates of course: Monday, June 17 - Friday, July 19 (There is no class the week of July 1-5, 2024)
Time: 8 a.m. - 12 noon, in person (Fridays are asynchronous to give students time to develop their digital portfolios at home)
Frequency: Students will meet in person each day
Location: BSM Campus / Engineering Labs
Cost: $900 (due Wednesday, May 1, 2024. The course is worth 1 credit on the student's transcript)

- This course has a maximum capacity of 16, so act fast to secure your spot.
- This is a four-week course
- Students are encouraged to be motivated and curious, and not involved with other events or athletics during the class days/times. Absences will not be excused and will impact the earning of course credit.
- Tuition details: The cost of the course will be billed automatically to your student's tuition account. Additionally, we make commitments to our faculty based on student counts. To ensure we are able to meet such commitments for this class, please note that the $900 course fee is non-refundable and will not be prorated after the May 1 deadline. If you receive tuition assistance, the above fee will be adjusted at the same rate as your tuition award.

Health in the Summer
BSM offers students the opportunity to complete our required, one-semester, health course as a summer course.
Dates of course: Monday, June 17 - Friday, July 18 (There is no class the week of July 1-5, 2024)
Time: 10 a.m. - 12 noon
Frequency: Students will meet each day: in person on Mondays, online Tuesdays - Thursdays (there are no classes on Fridays)
Location: BSM Campus / Online
Cost: $450 (due Wednesday, May 1, 2024. The course is worth 1 credit on the student's transcript)

- This course has a maximum capacity of 25, so act fast to secure your spot.
- This is a five-week course
- Students are encouraged to be motivated and curious, and not involved with other events or athletics during the class days/times. An absence for one day of class without a doctor's note will result in loss of credit for this course. Absences for sports will not be excused and will impact the earning of course credit.

BSM Band Lessons
The BSM band department is offering half hour lessons throughout the summer for students looking to further their musical skills. The focus will be on improving musicality and technique at a level that is tailored to each students ability level.
Dates of course: Lessons are scheduled between the family and Ms. Gruba
Time: Five half-hour lessons
Frequency: Students will meet in person each day
Location: BSM Campus / Band room
Cost: $100 (due Wednesday, May 1, 2024, this is a no-credit class)

- It's a great way to 'get ahead' and be ready for the school year music program at BSM

Jumpstart Junior High
This 4-day class will help prepare incoming Red Knights for the rigors of junior high in a safe, fun environment.
Students will meet teachers and fellow classmates, get to know the building, learn how to use and care for their laptop, review reading and math skills, and set up an organizational system that they can use all school year. Lessons will have an environmental theme, and we will be spending some time outside.
Dates of course: Monday, July 29 - Thursday, Aug. 1
Time: 9 a.m. - 12 noon
Frequency: Students will meet in person each day
Location: BSM Campus
Cost: $230 (due Wednesday, May 1, 2024, this is a no-credit class)
