Welcome to a New School Year!
Red Knight Roundup is the annual registration event for all students enrolled at BSM, providing students and families with the opportunity to complete necessary forms and obtain resources before the start of school.

See a complete list of important dates for the start of the 2022-23 School Year.

Round-Up consists of two activities:

  • Online (required for all BSM students and parents)
    An email will be sent to all families during the week of Monday, July 11 with instructions to access PowerSchool (a portal BSM uses for school information) for completing the majority of required forms and paperwork before Friday, Aug. 5, 2022
     
  • In-person (required for new BSM families, optional for returning students and parents)
    Join us during one of the two sessions on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2022 - 7 a.m. - 1 p.m. or
    Tuesday, Aug.16, 2022 - 1 - 6 p.m. to complete the following:

    For Students
    • Pick-up your laptop (with technology orientation / system access training)
      ONLY for new students (attend one of four available time slots, no RSVP needed):
      Wednesday, Aug. 10 at 9-10 a.m. or at 10-11 a.m. or Tuesday, Aug. 16 at 3-4 p.m. or at 4-5 p.m.
    • Get your school picture taken (dress code compliance required)
    • Set-up your lunch account and fingerprint access
    • Pick up your gym uniform
    • Speak with BSM counselors
    • Stop by the Spirit Shop to get the latest BSM apparel
    • Learn about athletic and activity opportunities
    • Enjoy refreshments while meeting classmates and other new Red Knights
       
    For Parents
    • Complete family tuition payment profile
    • Finalize details for on-line forms submitted through PowerSchool
    • Complete the necessary health forms and documents required by the State of Minnesota
    • Optional medications check-in
    • Learn about Parent Association events
    • Learn about the Gala and Grandparents' Day events
    • Yearbook orders are automatically added to your student's tuition unless your family opts out of the purchase
    • Connect with administration or staff about details related to your student's schedule
    • Round-Up is NOT for schedule changes -
      If there are changes needed, please email our registrar, Ryan Mohs (rmohs@bsmschool.org).  
    • Enjoy refreshments while meeting with other BSM parents and new families
    • And more!

The Spirit Shop will be open and refreshments will be served. Round-Up should only take about an hour to complete everything for your student.

Attendance at one of the two dates (Wednesday, Aug. 10 or Tuesday, Aug. 16) is required for all new families. Returning students and families can complete the forms digitally and bring necessary medical forms to school on the first day of school*.


Important 2022-23 School Year Dates:

  • Deadline for submitting necessary documents via PowerSchool

    Friday, Aug. 5, 2022
    Information with instructions will be sent during the week of Monday, July 11 to all parents.
     
  • BSM's Red Knight Round-up

    Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2022: 7 a.m. - 1 p.m.

  • "Raising Responsible Children" Presentation

    BSM is pleased to announce Michael G. Thompson, Ph.D., will be here on Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2022 at  7 p.m. for a 90-minute presentation, “Raising Responsible Children” in the Hamburge Theater. 

    A New York Times best-selling author and psychologist, Dr. Thompson has written multiple books, written and hosted a nationally broadcast PBS documentary entitled “Raising Cain,” and appeared on 60 Minutes, Good Morning America, and The Today Show. 

    Join us for this inspiring event with Dr. Thompson! RSVP by Aug. 19.
     

  • Orientation for all 7th and 9th Graders and ALL Students NEW to BSM in Grades 8, 10-12
    (Includes International Students)

    Monday, Aug. 29, 2022: 8 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

    This is your "First Day at BSM," and is designed to welcome all new Red Knights on campus for a special all-day orientation, making the transition to Benilde-St. Margaret's a positive one for every student.

    • Lunch may be purchased from the cafeteria or brought from home.

    • Students should wear comfortable (dress code compliant) clothing and enter at the Haben Center (west end of parking lot).

    • School supplies are optional, or can be brought on the first day of school.

    • Incoming 7th and 8th grade students will be welcomed by members of our eighth grade WEB student leader group

    • Senior high students (9-12) will be welcomed by members of our Link Crew student leader group.

    • Buses will run at their regular times on Monday, Aug. 29; they are scheduled to arrive at BSM by 7:20 a.m. and depart at 2:40 p.m.
       

  • First Day of School (Grades 7-9) 

    Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2022: 8 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

    Welcome to BSM for the official start of the 2022-23 School Year!
    Dress Code is in effect for this normal block schedule school day.
     

  • First Day of School (ALL Grades 7-12) 

    Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2022: 8 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

    Today, all students will be on campus. Dress Code is in effect for this normal block schedule school day.
     

  • Labor Day Weekend

    Friday, Sept. 2 - Monday, Sept. 5, 2022

    No school for the holiday weekend.
     

  • KNIGHT SCHOOL

    Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2022: 6 p.m.

    Parents and Guardians, come to BSM for an evening following your students' academic schedule, meet their teachers in mini-classes. Hear from BSM principals and school leaders, connect with other parents and have an enjoyable evening seeing what the year has in store for your Red Knight!
