RED is an exclusive academic program of BSM, providing students with collaborative hands-on learning experiences that parallel the modern workplace.

RED (Research, Entrepreneurship, Design) challenges students to use creativity and collaboration to solve problems that impact their world.

RED provides students with opportunities for:

  1. Real Processes
Engaged in authentic collaboration with peers and with experts in the field to produce a real product or process (SWOT, Agile, Scrum, Design Thinking)
  2. Real Audiences
Made for an audience beyond the classroom with the students aiming towards service, improvement, and impact (partnering with local businesses and corporations)
  3. Real Tools
Students are required to use tools used in professional businesses and organizations (centrifuges, 3D printing, drone video capture, Adobe Creative Suite, CAD, social media, and more)

In today's world, students will need to have a variety of skills to succeed in college and whatever career path they take after graduation. These include:

  • Persuasion
  • Creativity
  • Collaboration
  • Adaptability

RED is ambitious and personalized class providing each student with opportunities to learn and apply these skills while developing project elements and tangible processes.
