Pauline Knaeble Williams '84 has published her first novel, Finding Hollis, with the help of three of her Red Knight classmates. Publisher Joe Riley, Editorial Director Nick Dimassis, and CMO and Legal Counsel Kelly Keady own a publishing company called Forty Press. Read More

Dan Lundberg ’12, a sophomore at Boston College, returned to BSM on April 17 to explain his philanthropic work in Ghana, West Africa. Dan spoke to a different group of students and faculty each period explaining his work and interest in Muscular Dystrophy. Michael Fabiano is this the 2014 recipient of The Beverly Sills Artist Award for young singers. The award honors singers between the ages of 25 and 40 who have had featured roles at the Met. For more information, click here.
Will Steger '62 is featured at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design
In a first-ever-exhibition dedicated to Steger’s work as a designer, an aspect of his life-obscured, somewhat by his dual reputation as an explorer and environmentalist. Steger has designed clothing and equipment, but perhaps his greatest design is the “Steger Wilderness Center for Innovation and Leadership” that is being constructed near Ely. As Steger describes it, the Center, when completed, will be a kind of a multi-purpose think tank, a retreat here “leaders and decision makers” gather in groups of six or eight, about the same size as his expedition team. The Exhibition will be open from September 14-October 6 at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, 2501 Stevens Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN

Grant Besse '13 Drafted in the NHL
Reigning Mr. Hockey-- Grant was drafted by the Anaheimm Ducks in the fifth round, 147th overall. Grant will be a freshman at the University of Wisconsin Madison this fall and plans to play hockey for the Badgers.
William Lieder '81
Congratulations sir! General Lieder was recently promoted to Brigadier General of the Minnesota Army National Guard. He is currently stationed in St. Paul and serves as the the Director of the Joint Staff, Joint Force Headquarters.
Willie Falk '12 Pitching for St. Thomas
Willie made the pitching staff for the 2013 baseball season at the University of St. Thomas. St. Thomas is ranked third in the country.
Hannah Heilicher '08 Serving as Google Student Ambassador
Hannah Heilicher is spending her senior year serving as the Google Student Ambassador at the University of Montana.This past summer, Hannah spent time at Google learning from technology experts, honing her professional development and communication skills, and imagining new and different ways the company’s products can help students, faculty and administrators be successfu.

Rachael Koene '10 Wins MWC Award
A sensational effort by the Prairie Fire’s goalkeeper was recognized by the Midwest Conference. Rachael Koene was named the MWC Women’s Soccer Defensive Performer of the Week following her stellar play on September 29 at Grinnell College. Koene’s 55 saves this season ranks fourth in the Midwest Conference, and she’s tied for sixth in the league in shutouts.
Laurel Johnston,'08 is Building a Bright Future
Lauren is an architect student at Kansas State University College of Architecture, Planning, and Design. Her studio group accepted a challenge put to them by the New York Times to keep the rain out of Arthur Ashe Stadium. Click here to see her group's work, published in the NYT on September 10.
