Tragedies sadden BSM community
Returning from Christmas break, BSM students, faculty and staff had to deal with two separate tragic situations.
Sophomore Jack Jablonski was severely injured in a hockey game on Friday, December 30. Updates on Jack’s medical condition are available on his Caring Bridge website page at http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/jackjablonski.
Our community is also mourning with seventh grader Frankie (Francesca) Vochko, whose mother died on New Year’s Day.
On behalf of BSM, president Bob Tift states, “We extend our support and sympathies to the individuals in the Benilde-St. Margaret’s community who have experienced sadness in the past several days. Our first concerns are for students and parents who are suffering. We offer our prayers in faith that the spiritual and physical wounds will heal with God’s grace and love. We thank everyone, new and old friends of BSM, near and far, who have expressed concern for our community. Know that our students are supported by campus ministers, counselors, teachers, staff, and families. Please continue to stand with us as our students grow and learn from the full range of life’s experiences, including those that involve sorrow and require comfort.”
Prayers from everyone at this time are certainly appreciated.
