The energy level increased significantly on Monday at BSM, as all new students were welcomed. New junior high students were welcomed by teachers and 8th grade WEB (Where Everybody Belongs) leaders in the Haben Center. New senior high students walked between lines of senior high Link Crew leaders, as well as BSM faculty, staff and administrators in the Great Hall, getting high fives, smiles and cheers, with rock music blaring in the background. “Simon” had plenty to “say,” numerous balloons were popped, and non-verbal communication came into use as students mixed and mingled during interactive activities.

Freshman Colleen Alexander said that day was “fabulous,” because they “learned about high school and had fun with the team-building games.”
