The ACS Team Is Heading to Germany

The ACS team (Red Knight Roborescue Squad) will be travelling to Germany over Spring Break to compete for "survival" in the RoboCup German Open. Math League Qualifies for State

The Knight Errant was awarded Gold Medalist status with All-Colombian Honors in the Hybrid Category - this category measures how well they use both the print and online mediums together. The Gold Medalist status is granted by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association. Swimmers place 10th at state meet, set new school records

Most of the swimmers competing in the Class A state meet Nov. 20 at the University of Minnesota were expecting Visitation to win, and they did, with 300 points -- far outpacing Mankato West (168 points) and Sartell (161). With 44 teams competing, BSM placed 10th, with a team of just four girls: Sophomore Grace Hedin, freshman Madison Semler, senior Megan Pohle and freshman Claire Torgerson.   Read More

Led by freshmen, swimmers advance to state and place third in sections

November 11, 2013
Led by freshmen Madison Semler and Claire Torgerson, who each won their two individual events, BSM girls swimmers advanced to the state meet, and set a meet record along the way. The meet at University of St. Catherine's pool was tied going into the final event, with Breck and Blake vying for the section title (Breck won the meet by just 2 points: 528 to 526). While BSM won the section last year, it graduated 12 seniors from the team and does not field a diving team this year.   Read More

Sister Helen Prejean to Visit BSM on Wednesday; Dead Man Walking this weekend

In 1982 Sister Helen Prejean was asked to correspond with convicted murderer Elmo Patrick Sonnier, located in the Louisiana State Penitentiary. Sonnier was sentenced to death by electrocution. Sister Helen visited Sonnier in prison and agreed to be his spiritual adviser in the months leading up to his execution.   Read More

Kelly Pannek Wins Ms. Soccer

A two sport varsity athlete who has been on a varsity team since freshman year, Kelly Pannek has been dominating on the soccer field since her freshman year. BSM Teacher Recognized by the Dow Jones News Fund

That was certainly the case in September as Jason Wallestad was recognized as a “Dow Jones Fund Distinguished Adviser”. In a first-ever-exhibition dedicated to Steger’s work as a designer, an aspect of his life-obscured, somewhat by his dual reputation as an explorer and environmentalist.
