The number two ranked Red Knights are off to a fast start defeating sixth ranked White Bear 7-3. Liv Halverson opened the scoring with her first goal as a Red Knight assisted by Kelly Pannek. The other first period goal was a power play goal by Caitlin Reilly assisted by Liv Halverson and Brittany Wheeler. BSM increased its lead to start the second period to five with goals by Kelly Pannek assisted by Brittany Wheeler and Ali Praus. Jackie Pieper, her first Red Knight goal assisted by Caitlin Reilly. Kelly Pannek assisted by Brittany Wheeler and Ali Praus. White Bear scored late in the second period to close the margin to four goals. Caitlin Reilly scored on a power play early in the third period assisted by Kelly Pannek and Brittany Wheeler. Kelly Pannek followed with a short handed goal giving her three for the night and putting the Red Knights up by six,she was assisted on a nice feed from Ali Praus. White Bear scored the final two goals of the game. Abbey Miller was in goal recording her first win of the year.

The number one ranked Red Knights improved to 2 and 0 defeating Wayzata 5-0 on Kellys second hat trick of the year and Abbey Millers shut out. BSM opened the scoring ten seconds into the game on a goal by Catlin Reilly assisted by Jackie Pieper. Kelly Pannek rounded out the scoring in the first period with a goal assisted by Brittany Wheeler. The Red Knights scored two unassisted second period goals, Kelly Pannek, a short handed goal and Liv Halverson an even strength goal. Kelly Pannek scored the lone third period goal, a power play assisted by Sara Taffe and McKenzie Steffen. Abbey Miller recorded her first shut out of the year with outstanding goal tending stopping all 25 Wayzata shots.

The Red Knights opened the Edina Tournament with a convincing win over Blake 8-2. BSM got off to a slow start allowing Blake to score two power play goals in the first period. The Red Kinghts answered with a power play goal by Catlin Reilly assisted by Kelly Pannek and Liv Halverson late in the first period to cut the deficit to one. Brittany Wheeler scored an unassisted goal to open the second period to tie the score at two. Catlin Reilly put the Red Knights up by one scoring her second of the game, she was assisted by Anne Arnason. BSM skated away with the game scoring five unanswered third period goals. Liv Halverson scored the first unassisted. She was followed by Kelly Pannek assisted by Brittany Wheeler. Ally Hoffman's hard work led to the next goal assisted by Bailey Forcier. Kelly Pannek scored her second unassisted to put the Red Knights up by five. Brittany Wheeler closed the scoring assisted by Kelly Pannek. The Red Knights play Breck next to decide the champion of the Edina Tournament.

in OT The Red Knights lost The championship game of the Edina Tournament in overtime to Breck 4-3 in a hard fought game. Breck opened the game with a power play goal to put the Red Knights down by one. BSM battled back with two unanswered goals to put BSM up by one. Anne Arnason scored the first, her first of the year, assisted by Jackie Pieper and Catlin Reilly. Catlin Reilly scored the second a power play assisted by Sara Taffe and Kelly Pannek. There was no scoring in a penalty marred second period. Breck got on the board first in the third period to tie the score. Catlin Reilly scored an unassisted goal to put the Red Knights back on top. Breck pulled their goalie with nine seconds left in the game and went on to tie the score at three. Breck scored a power play goal in over time to win the Edina Tournament. BSM travels to Shattuck for their next game.

The Red Knights suffered their second loss of the year to Shattuck St. Mary's 3-0. BSM and Shattuck battled to a scoreless first period in this fast hard fought game. Shattuck scored two second period goals but the Red Knights didn't let up and created many good scoring chances. The Red Knights opening shift of the third period kept Shattuck in their own end and almost pulled to within one. Shattuck scored late in the third to put the game out of reach. Shattuck out shot the Red Knights 27 to 25 and Abbey Miller was outstanding in goal stopping 24 Shattuck shots. BSM next faces Cloquet December 3rd, 2:00 P.M. at the St. Louis Park Rec Center.

The Red Knights defeated Cloquet 6-4 behind Kelly Panneks hat trick, her third of the year. The Red Knights out shot Cloquet 19 to 1 in a scoreless first period. Kaylee Druk scored early in the second period to put the Red Knights up by one, she was assisted by Brittany Wheeler and Catlin Reilly. Cloquet scored the next two goals to go up by one. Catlin Reilly scored a beautiful wrap around goal to tie the score at two. Cloquet scored late in the period to take a one goal lead. BSM scored twice in the first two minutes of the third period to go up by one. Catlin Reilly scored first assisted by Brittany Wheeler and Kaylee Druk, then Kelly Pannek scored her first of three assisted by Anne Arnason. Cloquet tied the score midway through the third period. Kelly Pannek scored 46 seconds later to put the Red Knights back on top, she was assisted by Jackie Pieper and Anne Arnason. Kelly Pannek completed the hat trick scoring an empty net goal with nine seconds left,she was assisted by Anne Arnason. BSM out shot Cloquet 52 to 16 for the game. The Red Knights travel to Buffalo next to play the Bison's on Tuesday, December 6th.

The Red Knights led by Catlin Reilly's four goals put on a passing clinic in a 10-1 victory over Buffalo. Catlin Reilly opened the scoring 33 seconds into the game assisted by Brittany Wheeler and Kaylee Druk. Ally Hoffman had a beautiful goal on a deflection of a shot by Liv Halverson with the second assist going to Jackie Pieper. Kelly Pannek scored first in a five goal outburst to start the second period, she was assisted by Ali Praus and Megan Meskill. Liv Halverson put the Red Knights up by four assisted by Kaylee Druk and Catlin Reilly. The fifth goal went to Catlin Reilly assisted by Brittany Wheeler and Kaylee Druk. Bailey Forcier scored next, her first of the year assisted by Ally Hoffman and Jackie Pieper. Catlin Reilly rounded out the scoring for BSM in the second period assisted by Brittany Wheeler and Kelly Pannek. Catlin Reilly scored her fourth goal, a power play goal, early in the third period, this was a highlight reel goal on passes from Liv Halverson and Kelly Pannek. Liv Halverson scored the ninth goal of the game unassisted and Anne Arnason scored the tenth assisted by Kelly Pannek and Ali Praus. Abbey Miller was solid in net stopping eleven of the twelve shots she faced. BSM will play a home game against Shakopee on Thursday December 8th.

The Red Knights improved to 6 and 2 for the season with a 5-1 victory over Shakopee. BSM had two first period goals to take a 2-0 lead. Brittany Wheeler scored first assisted by Catlin Reilly. Kelly Pannek scored the final goal of the first period, unassisted. This was a short handed goal, Kelly's third short handed goal of the year. The second period was scoreless. Shakopee scored first in the third period to cut the margin to one goal. This woke the Red Knights up as they fired 19 shots at the Shakopee goalie and scored three times. The first of three was scored by Brittany Wheeler, her second of the game, assisted by Kaylee Druk and Liv Halverson. Kaylee Druk put BSM up by three, she was assisted by Brittany Wheeler and Catlin Reilly. Liv Halverson completed the scoring assisted by Kelly Pannek and Catlin Reilly. The Red Knights next face Minnetonka, a Section 6 rival, at home Saturday December 10th, 7:00 P.M. at the St. Louis Park Recreation Center

The number three ranked Red Knights defeated the defending State Champion Minnetonka 2-0 in a hard fought non conference game. BSM scored two goals in the first four minutes of the game then played great defense behind outstanding goal tending by Abbey Miller. Catlin Reilly scored first, her fourteenth goal of the year, she was assisted by Brittany Wheeler. Anne Arnason followed 24 seconds later assisted by Kelly Pannek and Ali Praus. The Red Knights had to kill two penalties while down two players, once in the first period and again in the second period, Abbey Miller shut down the Tonka power play. Abbey Miller stopped 24 shots recording her second shut out of the year. The Red Knights next face Chisago, Thursday, December 15th, 7:30 P.M. at the St. Louis Park Recrecration Center.

The Red Knights won their fifth game in a row to move to 8 and 1 for the season in a 7 to 0 win over Chisago. Six players contributed goals in this first conference victory and Abbey Miller recorded her third shut out of the year. Anne Arnason opened the scoring at the six minute mark of the first period, assisted by Liv Halverson. The only other goal of the first period was a power play goal scored by Sara Taffe, her first of the year, assisted by Kelly Pannek. Brittany Wheeler scored early in the second period to put the Red Knights up by three, she was assisted by Kelly Pannek. The first of two short handed goals by Kelly Pannek was scored mid way through the second period, she was assisted by Ali Praus. Catlin Reilly wrapped up the scoring in the second period, her fifteenth of the year assisted by Liv Halverson. Kelly Pannek scored an unassisted short handed goal early in the third period, her fifteenth goal of the year. Ally Hoffman wrapped up the scoring with a goal assisted by Liv Halverson, her third assist of the game. Abbey Miller stopped all fifteen shots she faced for her eight win of the year and second shut out in a row. The Red Knights claimed first place in the North Suburban Conference with a 3-1 win over Irondale. BSM got on the board early with an even strength goal by Anne Arnason assisted by Liv Halverson and Ali Praus. The lead remained at one until Brittany Wheeler scored a power play goal eleven minutes into the second period, she was assisted by Sara Taffe and Catlin Reilly. Irondale cut the Red Knights lead in half eight minutes into the third period. Catlin Reilly scored a power play goal, her sixteenth goal of the year with less than four minutes left in the third period. She was assisted by Liv Halverson and Brittany Wheeler. Abbey Miller stopped nine of ten Irondale shots to post her ninth win of the year. BSM will next play Rochester Mayo in the Schwans Cup, 2:30 P.M. December 28th at the Schwans Super Rink.

The Red Knights looking to defend their Schwans Cup title defeated Rochester Mayo in the first round of the 2011 Schwans Cup, 5-0. Kelly Pannek scored her 16th goal of the year to put BSM up by one 3:37 into the first period, she was assisted by Anne Arnason. Kaylee Druk rounded out the scoring in the first period, assisted by Brittany Wheeler. The teams played a scoreless second period. Anne Arnason scored an unassisted short handed goal at the start of the third period to increase the lead to three. Jackie Pieper scored at 3:37 of the period assisted by Sara Taffe. Brittany Wheeler rounded out the scoring assisted by Ali Praus. Abbey Miller picked up her tenth win of the year and her fourth shutout stopping all Rochesters attempts. The Red Knights defeated Hutchinson 9-1 in the semi final game of the Schwans Cup and will play Breck for the Schwans Cup title. Kelly Pannek scored a power play goal two minutes into the game, her first of three goals, assisted by Brittany Wheeler and Liv Halverson. Kat Kernan followed, scoring her first goal of the year assisted by Jackie Pieper. Liv Halverson's rocket rounded out the scoring in the first period, she was assisted by Ali Praus. Sara Taffe opened the second period with an unassisted goal to put BSM up by four. Ali Hoffman followed 31 seconds later assisted by Kelly Pannek. The flood gates opened as Sara Taffe scored her second goal of the period a power play goal assisted by Ali Praus and Anne Arnason. Kelly Pannek closed the second period with a power play goal assisted by Aly Hoffman and Anne Arnason this put BSM up, 7 to 1. Kelly Pannek scored at 1:42 of the third period, assisted by Anne Arnason. Kaylee Druk scored the final goal of the game assisted by Brittany Wheeler and Ali Praus. The Red Knights were perfect on special teams scoring on all three power play opportunities and killing eight Hutchinson power plays. Abbey Miller notched her eleventh win of the year stopping twelve of thirteen Hutchinson shots.

In OT The Red Knights ranked 2 in class 2A tied Breck ranked 1st in class 1A, 2-2 in a hard fought battle for the Schwans Cup. Breck took the Schwans cup in a shoot out which followed an eight minute overtime period. Breck opened the scoring two minutes into the game to go up by one but was answered by Ali Praus, scoring a huge goal her first of the year assisted by Anne Arnason. The period ended tied at one. Breck again took the lead 46 seconds into the second period but Ali Praus responded with her second goal of the game to tie the score she was assisted by Liv Halverson. The teams went to the locker room tied at two. The two top teams battled but were unable to score in the third period or in an eight minute overtime period. Breck scored the lone goal of the shoot out to claim the Schwans Cup. BSM controlled play throughout the game out shooting Breck 44 to 31. Abbey Miller was in goal for BSM stopping 29 of 31 shots. The Red Knights travel to Chaska, Friday January 6th for a 7:15 P.M. nonconference game.

The #1 ranked Red Knights defeated Chaska/Chanhassen 4 -2 in an emotionally filled game. Chaska/Chanhassen led after one period 2-1 with Ali Praus scoring the lone Red Knight goal assisted by Maddie Carras and Anne Arnason. The team pulled together in the first intermission and resolved to play their game in the next period. BSM scored three unanswered goals in the second period to take a 4-2 lead. Jackie Pieper ignited the rally scoring four minutes into the period, assisted by Anne Arnason. Jackie followed three minutes later with her second goal of the night, assisted by Kelly Pannek. Kelly Pannek scored a power play goal late in the period to give BSM a two goal margin, she was assisted by Brittany Wheeler and Liv Halverson. The teams played a scoreless third period and the Red Knight record moved to 12-1-1. Spring Lake Park comes to the St. Louis Recreation Center, Saturday, January 7th at 2:30 P.M. for a North Suburban Conference game.

BSM started fast scoring 43 seconds into the game on a power play by Kelly Pannek assisted by Brittany Wheeler and Sara Taffe. Kelly had the only other goal of the first period assisted by Maddie Carras. The second period saw BSM score four times to Spring Lake Parks lone goal. Scoring first was Anne Arnason with assists going to Kelly Pannek and Jackie Pieper. Ali Praus followed giving her a three game goal streak, she was assisted by Kaylee Druk and Brittany Wheeler. The third goal of the period went to Ally Hoffman assisted by Kat Krenan. Kaylee Druk scored late in the period putting BSM up 6-1, she was assisted by Ali Praus and Liv Halverson. The Red Knights skated four lines and scored six goals in the third period. Kelly Pannek scored early in the third recording her fifth hat trick of the year, assisted by Anne Arnason and Jackie Pieper. Kat Kernen followed with assists going to Bailey Forcier and Ally Hoffman. The next two goals went to Kelly Pannek, Liv Halverson assisted on the first and Jackie Pieper has an assist on each goal. Aly Hoffman scored her second of the game assisted by Liv Halverson. The final unassisted goal, her first as a Red Knight, was scored by eighth grader McKenzie Steffen. Lauren Doyle, making her first varsity appearance, stopped thirteen of the fourteen shots she faced and recorded her first win in goal for BSM. Totino got on the board first two minutes into the game but Liv Halverson tied the score two minutes later with a short handed goal. Liv scored the only other goal of the period to put BSM up by one, she was assisted by Brittany Wheeler. Kelly Pannek opened the second period with a short handed goal assisted by Ali Praus. McKenzie Steffen scored late in the period to put the Red Knights up by three, she was assisted by Kelly Pannek. Kelly put the game out of reach scoring three goals in 22 seconds to start the third period. She was assisted by Brittany Wheeler on the first, Anne Arnason on the second and Jackie Pieper on the third. Sara Taffe scored the eighth goal unassisted and Brittany Wheeler scored the ninth assisted by Liv Halverson and Sara Taffe. The #1 ranked Red Knights defeated #12 ranked Lakeville North 5-1 in a non conference game. Kelly Pannek lead the Red Knights with a hat trick, her seventh of the year. Kelly scored the only two goals in the first period, the first was unassisted and the second, a power play goal, was assisted by Ali Praus and Sara Taffe. Lakeville pulled to within one with a power play at 3:33 of the second period. Kelly completed her hat trick with a power play goal, assisted by Brittany Wheeler and Ali Praus, at 7:20 of the second period. Liv Halverson put BSM up by three scoring the final goal of the second period, she was assisted by Jackie Pieper and Anne Arnason. The final tally of the game came at 14:40 of the third period on a goal by Anne Arnason assisted by Liv Halverson. Abbey Miller had a strong game in goal stopping 22 of 23 shots and picked up her 15th win of the year. The Red Knights travel to Chisago on Tuesday, January 17 for a conference game.

The top ranked Red Knights used a well balanced attack to defeat Chisago 9-0 in a North Suburban Conference game. Seven players contributed goals moving the Red Knights to 5 and 0 in conference play. Anne Arnason opened the scoring, her first of two for the night, assisted by Kelly Pannek. McKenzie Steffen followed with an unassisted goal on a blast from the blue line. Ali Praus closed out the scoring in the period putting BSM up by three, she was assisted by Kaylee Druk and Brittany Wheeler. Bailey Forcier scored early in the second period assisted by Alexi Press and Ally Hoffman. Ally Hoffman increased the lead to five on a great individual effort going hard to the net. Anne Arnasons second followed, assisted by Kelly Pannek and Jackie Pieper. BSM had only one power play in the game but capitalized on Kelly Panneks goal with assists going to Brittany Wheeler and Ali Praus. Ally Hoffman scored her second goal late in the period assisted by Kat Kernan. Kat Kernan had the only goal of the third period assisted by Megan Meskill. The Red Knights improved to 17-1-1 with a 9-0 win over St. Loius Park. Kelly Pannek led a balanced attack with her her eighth hat trick of the year. Ali Praus started the scoring at 6:52 of the first period assisted by Alexi Press and Kaylee Druk. Kelly Pannek followed on a nice feed from Anne Arnason. Brittany Wheeler put BSM up by three with helpers going to Kaylee Druk and McKenzie Steffen. Kelly Pannek rounded out the scoring in the first period with an assist going to Liv Halverson. BSM scored three in the second period, the first going to Anne Arnason assisted by Jackie Pieper. Ali Praus scored her second on a pass from Brittany Wheeler. Liv Halverson wrapped up the scoring in the period with an unassisted goal. Anne Arnason scored her second at 1:30 of the third period assisted by Kelly Pannek. Kelly completed her hat trick on a power play goal set up by Brittany Wheeler and Ali Praus to round out the scoring. Lauren Doyle had her first varsity shut out stopping 19 St. Louis Park shots. The Red Knights face Irondale Tuesday January 24th at the Schwans Super Rink at 7:30 P.M. A win over Irondale will secure first place in the North Suburban Conference for BSM.

The Red Knights solidified their hold on first place in the North Suburban Conference with a 2-1 win over Irondale. The game featured two of the top scorers in the state, the Red Knights Kelly Pannek and Irondales Samantha Donovan. Kelly Pannek opened the scoring with a power play goal at 1:30 of the first period to put BSM up by one, she was assisted by Liv Halverson and Brittany Wheeler. BSM pressured Irondale but were only able to score one in the first period because of strong goal tending by the Irondale net minder. Kaylee Druk scored what proved the game winner at 9:17 of the second period assisted by Ali Praus and Brittany Wheeler. The Red Knights controlled play in the second period but only scored one because of the play of the Irondale goalie. Samantha Donovan of Irondale scored at 2:15 of the third period to make it a one goal game. BSM held on to post their 18th win of the year. Abbey Miller was in goal and recorded her 17th win of the year. The Red Knights play St. Francis Friday January 27th at the St. Louis Park Rec Center.

The Red Knights suffered their second loss of the year to Hill Murray 3-1. BSM was unable to contain Hannah Brandt of Hill Murray as she scored all three goals for the Pioneers. The Red Knights off to a slow start ended up down by two after the first period. BSM pulled to within one on a power play goal by Anne Arnason at 5:55 of the second period, she was assisted by Jackie Pieper and Kaylee Druk. Hill Murray went back up by two late in the second period on Hannah Brandts third goal. The teams were scoreless in the third period. BSM is know 19-2-1 and will be at Spring Lake Park, Thursday February 2nd for a North Suburban Conference game.

The Red Knights improved to 20-2-1 with a 6-0 win over Spring Lake Park. Kelly Panek recorded her 9th hat trick of the year and Abbey Miller posted her 6th shut out. Kelly Pannek opened the scoring at 1:38 of the first period assisted by Jackie Pieper and McKenzie Steffen. The only other goal of the period came on a beautiful one time shot by Sara Taffe on a feed from Kelly Pannek, this was a power play goal. Pannek scored first in the second period at 11:22 assisted by Anne Arnason. Brittany Wheeler scored her first of two goals at 13:01 of the period assisted by Ali Praus. Pannek completed her hat trick with a power play goal 47 seconds into the third period assisted by Liv Halverson. Wheeler wrapped up the scoring at 4:38 of the third period assisted by Praus. BSM completes regular season play against Totino Grace Saturday, February 4th, 7:30 P.M. at Parade.

The Red Knights defeated Totino Grace 9-0 and completed regular season play 21-2-1. This win gave BSM a 10-0 record in the North Suburban Conference and the conference title. Jackie Pieper's hat trick led a balanced Red Knight attack. Special teams factored into the scoring as BSM had 3 power play goals and 2 short handed goals. Ali Praus's unassisted short handed goal opened the scoring in the first period followed by Liv Halverson's power play goal assisted by Kelly Pannek. Jackie Pieper wrapped up the scoring in the first period assisted by Kelly Pannek. Kelly Pannek scored the only goals of the second period with assists going to Jackie Pieper, Anne Arnason and McKenzie Steffen. Ally Hoffman scored a short handed goal to open the third period with assists going to Anne Arnason and Sara Taffe. Sara followed with a power play goal assisted by Liv Halverson and Ali Praus. The Red Knights advanced to the semi finals of Section 6AA with a win over North Metro 11-0, led by senior Ally Hoffman's hat trick. Seven players contributed goals in this this team effort. The Red Knights jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the first period on goals by Megan Meskill, Ali Praus, Kat Kernan, Kaylee Druk, Brittany Wheeler and Ally Hoffman. BSM increased its lead by three in the second period with a goal by Brittany Wheeler and two by Ally Hoffman. Catlin Reilly returned to the line up after being out fourteen games and scored two third period goals. Jackie Pieper had a strong game recording four assists. Abbey Miller picked up her 20th win of the year and her 8th shut out. BSM will play Hopkins in the semi finals at Parade Ice Garden, Wednesday, February 15th at 5:30.

Notes

The Red Knights defeated Hopkins 6-2 to advance to the finals of Section 6AA where they will meet Minnetonka. BSM waisted little time getting on the score board as Brittany Wheeler scored 52 seconds into the contest assisted by Catlin Reilly and Maddie Carras. Kaylee Druk followed 18 seconds later with an unassisted goal to give BSM a two goal margin in the first period. Hopkins pulled to within 1 on a power play goal early in the second period but BSM responded on Kaylee Druk's second goal assisted by Catlin Reilly. Jackie Pieper put the Red Knights up by three at 3:41 of the third period assisted by Kat Kernan and Aly Hoffman. Hopkins cut the margin to two on a power play late in the period but Catlin Reilly responded with a goal a minute later assisted by Liv Halvorson and Kaylee Druk. Jackie Pieper scored and empty net goal with 27 seconds left in the game. A rematch with Minnetonka for Section 6AA will be Friday February 17, 8:00 P.M. at Parade Ice Gardens.

Notes

BSM lost a heart breaker to Minnetonka, 2-1 in the Section 6AA finals. The Red Knights out shot the Skippers 26-15 but were able to score only one goal. Minnetonka scored the only goal in the first period, a power play goal to take a one goal lead. Liv Halvorson tied the score in the second period with the assist going to Aly Hoffman. The teams battled in a scoreless third period. Minnetonka was able to knock in a bouncing puck early in the overtime period to win the Section 6AA title. The Red Knights finished a successful season with a record of 23-3-1.
