                                           Head Coach

Adrian Wagner enters his 13th season as varsity softball coach for the Red Knights.
In those seasons, the Red Knights have finished with a winning record ten (out of eleven) times and compiled an overall record of 166-87. BSM claimed back-to-back North Suburban Conference titles in the 2007 and 2008 seasons with undefeated 14-0 records.
He has served as the Section 6AAA representative the last seven seasons and has also served as president of the Minnesota Softball Coaches Association.
Wagner also coaches junior high volleyball for the Red Knights during the fall season.
A seasoned sports writer and editor at a handful of Minnesota newspapers for 15 years, Wagner now enjoys (most of the time) the easiest tough job in the world as a stay-at-home dad to Kylie, 11; Ben, 10; and Emily, 7. He and his wife, Pam, live in Eagan.

                                           Varsity Assistant Coach

Lindsey Klein is in her third season with the Red Knights softball program this spring.

She is currently attending St. Catherine University where she is pursuing a Marketing and Management degree.

Klein coaches with the Minnesota Force during the summer and works with Minnesota Fastpitch Academy throughout the year as well.

A graduate of Hill-Murray High School, she played two seasons of fastpitch for St. Kate's.  She has also played three seasons on the women's hockey team for the Wildcats.

                           Rachael Thompson
                                   Varsity Assistant Coach

Rachael Thompson is in her third season as a coach for the Red Knights.

She will also be beginning her second year as an assistant coach for the Minnesota Force.  A former pitcher in high school and college, she also works many pitching practices, camps and clinics.

She began her collegiate career at the College of St. Benedict before transferring to St. Catherine University.  She completed her playing career in 2014, but still attends St. Kate's as she plans to pursue a nursing degree.

When Thompson is not coaching or studying, she enjoys participating in CrossFit, doing crafts and spending time with family and friends.

                                Chris Gabler
                                           JV Coach

Chris Gabler begins his third year a junior varsity coach for BSM.  This is his 34th year of coaching and 19th year coaching fastpitch softball.

Gabler has coached numerous community and elite baseball and softball teams over his coaching career. Teams that he has coached have won six (6) state championships and have had nine (9) runner-up finishes.  Chris and varsity coach Adrian Wagner go back to Adrian's first season at BSM.  Gabler's oldest daughter, Ashley, was a four-year starter for the Red Knights from 2005-2008.

Gabler works in sales and recently launched a business development company.  Along with his wife, Wendy, they have 4 children and live in Minnetonka.  In the summer, he coaches his youngest daughter's 12U team and tries to sneak in a few rounds of golf.

                              Chris Staples
                                        Junior High Coach

This is Chris Staples fourth year as a coach on staff at BSM.  Staples has coached both the C squad and junior high teams, and he volunteered as an assistant coach for numerous teams with BSM including the junior high silver basketball team and junior high softball teams in 2013, and as an assistant on both BSM junior high basketball in 2013-2014.

He has a strong background in youth sports.  At some point he has coached volleyball, soccer and basketball over six years at Good Shepherd Catholic School in Golden Valley. He is a board member for Golden Valley Girls' Softball where he coaches a house team as well as a traveling team (Orange Crush) that won the state title in the 12U division in 2012 and was state runner-up in 2014.  Staples has also volunteered as a bench coach for Golden Valley Little League.

Staples focuses on sportsmanship, strong fundamentals, teamwork, having fun and respecting all aspects of the game.

He is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas and works as a chemical formulator in Chaska.  He has twin freshman daughters who attend BSM and a second grade son at Good Shepherd, and is married to Kari, who is a Catholic school principal in Brooklyn Center.
