NotesThe Red Knights got the season off to a great start defeating section rivals Breck 5-0. The Mustangs were able to keep it close in the first half only allowing one goal by Vivian Shinall who was assisted by Maria Van Hove. In the second half the attack of the Red Knights started to click Shinall scored her second goal of the game assisted by Amanda Cassidy. Also scoring were Claire Van Der Heide, who also had 2 assists, Maren Noble, and Maria Van Hove. Cassidy also assisted Van Der Heide on her goal. The defense, Mack Morris, Ingrid Lundbrg, Maddie Stoks, Firda Fortier, Dani Gonyea and anchored by keeper Claire Grazzini got of to a great start recording a clean sheet.
NotesHill-Murray did a great job of putting the Red Knights under pressure and not giving them a lot of time on the ball. The Red Knights had their chances to score goals but their attempts just missed the mark. Hill-Murray was able to score 2 goals one off a corner and the other off a direct kick handing BSM their first loss of the season.

NotesThe game against section rival Blake lived up to it's anticipated expectation that it would be a tight match. Maren Noble scored with 49 seconds left in overtime to win the game for the Red Knights. Both teams battled the whole game and created scoring chances during regulation but both keepers and defenses did a good job of denying each team goals. Claire Grazzini made some nice saves in the game to record her second shut-out. Defenders Mack Morris, Ingrid Lundberg, Frida Fortier, Stella Fortier and Dani Gonyea put in a great effort to keep the Blake Bears from scoring.
NotesThe Red Knights struggled in the first part of the first half with Orono's ability to keep possession of the ball but when BSM finally settled in they didn't look back, scoring 2 goals in each half to defeat the Spartans 4-1. Maddie Stoks scored 2 goals one in each half assisted by Lizzy Ambre and Vivian Shinall. Vivian scored the second goal of the game off a nicely slotted ball from Amanda Cassidy. Brooke Ferrer scored her first goal of the season assisted by Lizzy Ambre. This was a big win over long time rival Orono Spatans.
NotesThe Red Knights got off to a shaky start in the game vs the Hopkins Royals. The first 20 minutes of the game the Royals controlled the play scoring the first goal in the 16th minute. BSM slowly started to gain momentum and created 5 or 6 good scoring chances in the last 15 minutes of the first half but were not rewarded with a goal. The second half was all Red Knights with Maddie Stoks scoring the first BSM goal 4 minutes into the second half assisted by Claire Van Der Heide. Maren Nobel scored the second goal on a penalty kick after Maddie Stoks was tripped in the penalty box. Claire Van Der Heide scored the third goal of the game assisted by Maddie Stoks. BSM starts conference play next week with games against Chanhassen and Jefferson.
NotesThe Red Knights did not get off to a good start in their Conference game opener losing to the Chanhassen Storm 1-0. BSM played well against a good Chanhassen team but was unable to score on the chances it created.
NotesFortunately the Red Knights got off to a good start scoring 2 goals from Maria Van Hove assisted by Vivian Sninall and Maddie Stoks in the first half of a rain soaked game because 5 minutes into the second half the game was suspended. Maddie Stoks assisted by Claire Van Der Heide was able to score in the 5 minutes of the second half. After 30 minutes the teams went back onto the field to resume the second half but lightning was seen again and the game was called complete giving the Red Knights their first conference win of the season. Claire Grazzini recorded her 3rd shut-out of the season assisted by defenders Mack Morris, Ingrid Lundberg, Stella Fortier, Frida Fortier, Dani Gonyea and Taylor Lowenberg.

NotesBSM had an easy go of it in the first round of the section playoffs defeating PSA 9-0. Scoring were Macy Morris with 3 goals and Brooke Ferrer had a goal and 1 assist, Erin Long also had a goal and 1 assist, Kate Marusich had a goal, Taylor Lowenburg had one goal, Molly Keady had a goal and one assist, Colleen Wagner also had goal. Annie Griebe had 2 assists and Mack Morris had an assist. Amira Carter was created with the shut-out.
NotesIn the Section 1/4 finals the Red Knights ran into a very good goal keeper who saved 14 of their shots. BSM controlled the game but it wasn't until 4 minutes into the second half when Maren Noble was able to beat the keeper did the Red Knights feel that they would win the game in regulation. Amira Carter along with defenders Mack Morris, Dani Gonyea, Stella Fortier, Frida Fortier and Taylor Lowenberg recorded the teams 9th shut-out.
NotesRed Knights defeated long time rival Blake 4-1 in the Section Semi Final. BSM put up 3 unanswered goals in the first half by Maren Noble, Claire Van der Heide and Lizzy Ambre to take a comfortable lead into the second half. Maren Noble scored her second goal of the game in the first 5 minutes of the second half to take the game out of reach for the Blake Bears. Amanda Cassidy and Madison Stoks each had an assist.
NotesThe Red Knights came to play defeating the Totino Grace Eagles 5-1 in the section championship. BSM did not give the eagles much time on the ball and took the game over in the second half scoring 4 of their 5 goals with 24 minutes left in the game. Amanda Cassidy and Vivian Shinall both had big games each scoring two goals, Maren Noble also scored. Brooke Ferrer, Claire Van der Heide, Amanda Cassidy and Maren Noble recorded assists in the game. Keeper Claire Grazzini, who is playing with a sprained ankle, stepped up for the team and made some important saves thwarting any chances the Eagles had of keeping the game close.

NotesVivian Shinall had the best game of her high school career scoring 4 goals ( Amanda Cassidy assisted on 2 and Maren Noble on 1) giving the Red Knights an easy win over St. Cloud Apollo to advance to State Semi Finals. BSM had a lot of chances to score in the first half but could only generate one goal which Amanda Cassidy scored assisted by Claire Van der Heide. Ingrid Lundberg also scored in the second half off a corner kick from Madison Stoks. Amira Carter recorded her 4th shut out in 5 starts.

NotesClaire Van der Heide scores off a corner kick from Madison Stoks in the final 3 minutes of the State Semi-Final game vs Hill-Murray to advance team to State Final vs Mankato West. Both teams played hard to the very end of the game. Hill-Murray scored first but the Red Knights answered with two goals from Vivian Shinall assisted by Amanda Cassidy and Maren Noble. The pioneers tied it up early in the second half but the final goal by BSM in at the end of regulation sealed the victory.
