NotesThe BSM Girls Soccer Team starting the season by playing their long time rival Academy of Holy Angels in the 2011 Showcase Tournament. As to be expected it was a very tight match and at the end of overtime the score remained tied at 0-0 giving the team a tie for it's first game. Not a bad start for a young team. A winner was determined by a shoot-out which the Red Knights loss 3-4. BSM will play Minnehaha Academy at home on Tuesday August 30th at 6:00PM. |

NotesIn the second game of the season verses long time local rival Breck the BSM girl's soccer team had a lot of success scoring 8 goals. Stand out player of the game was Captain Peggey Renier scoring 3 goals with 4 assists. Captain Aly Hoffman and junior Dana Buckhorn each had 2 goals and 1 assist. Maria Michels also scored. This was a great improvement over their first game where the Red Knights controlled the game but were unable to score a goal. The keepers Captain Mikayla Coulombe, Annie Michels and defenders Anne Arnason, Ally Ison, Anna Barger and Karen Valde recorded their second shut-out of the season. |

NotesThe BSM girls varsity team recorded their second victory in a row defeating a long time rival #9 ranked Minnehaha Academy. 9th grader Allie Coughlin scored her first goal as a varstiy player, she was assisted by Aly Hoffman. Peggy Renier scored in her second game in a row and was assisted by a great pass from Dana Buckhorn. Keeper Coulombe and her stellar defenders A. Arnason, A. Ison and A. Barger recorded their 3rd shutout. Keep up the good work Red Knights. |

NotesThe Girl's Varsity Soccer Team recorded their 4th consecutive win of the season defeating the Irondale Knights 4 to 1. This was the girl's second conference win. After being out of the line up for the past 3 weeks due to injury Kelly Pannek returned and led the scoring with 2 goals. Haley Jerabek and Anne Arnason scored the other 2 goals off of headers. Allie Coughlin, Maria Michels and Dana Buckhorn each recorded assists. |

NotesOn a very windy night the BSM girl's soccer team was able to shutout section rival Orono winning the match 3 to 0. The first goal was a penalty kick taken by Kelly Pannek after Dana Buckhorn was cut down in the penalty box. Later in the first half Buckhorn scored an unassisted goal. Peggy Renier assisted by Maria Michels scored the third goal in the second half to put the game out of reach for the Spartans. Keeper Mikayla Coulombe recorded her 5th shutout for the season. It was a great effort by the Red Knights effectively dealing with the wind which had a major impact on the game. |

NotesThe Red Knights traveled to the far northern part of the metro to play a conference game against the St. Francis Saints. Even though they were coming off an intense game the night before vs Orono and had a long bus trip they were able to defeat the Saints 5 to 1. Kelly Pannek lead the scoring with 2 goals with one of them being assisted by Haley Jerabek. Maria Michels and Peggy Renier both had a goal and an assist. Dana Buckhorn scored the 5th goal of the game. The Red Knights were not at their best but played well enough to win. |

NotesThe Red Knights had a gorgeous fall day for their game in Duluth vs the Marshall Hylanders. Peggy Renier started off the scoring with back to back goals that were assisted by Dana Buckhorn and Aly Hoffman. Dana Buckhorn and Maria Michels also scored 2 goals each and Kelly Pannek had 1 goal. It was another successful trip to the north country coming home with a 7-0 win. |

NotesThe BSM Girl's Varsity Soccer Team played their most exciting game of the season against conference rival Totino Grace Eagles.The score was 0-0 with 45 seconds left in the game and the Red Kights were awarded a direct kick outside the 18 yard penalty box. With time running out the players maintain their composure and set up the play. With 14 seconds left Kelly Pannek headed the ball into the goal on the far post off a gorgeous service from Dana Buckhorn. Red Knights pull off the win with only 14 seconds left in regulation. Wow!! |

Notesin OT // In a very competitive match against the Orioles the Red Knights scored the first goal on a direct kick from Dana Buckhorn to Kelly Pannek. Unfortunately with only a few seconds left in the first half the Orioles tied the match. Both teams played very hard in the second half and overtime but neither team could convert a goal. |

NotesThe BSM Girls Varsity Soccer team recorded their 7th conference win defeating the Fridley Tigers, which is coached by a former BSM keeper Jenny Hoffer. It was senior recognition night and the seniors did not disappoint. Senior Captain Peggy Renier lead the scoring with 4 goals. Senior Captain Aly Hoffman scored 1 goal and 3 assists. Senior Hannah Cope scored her 2nd goal of the season. Senior Captain/Keeper Mikayla Coulombe supported by her senior defenders Allie Ison and Karen Valde recored her 10th shut out of the season. Also scoring was Maria Michels with 2 goals and 1 assist, Katie Oppenheimer 1 goals and 2 assist, Alle Coughlin and Haley Jerabek each scored a goal and Dana Buckhorn had 3 assist. All in all the seniors had a great game. Thanks seniors for supporting the girls soccer program and the significant contributions you have made to it. |

NotesThe Red Knights got off to a slow start having not found their focus after homecoming weekend. The SLP-SA Panthers scored the first goal of the game within the first 7 minutes. Shortly after their goal the keeper for the Panthers was too aggressive on a breakaway by Aly Hoffman and was ejected from the game. That seemed to fire up the Red Knights because they scored 2 goals right away after the keeper was sent off. Peggy Renier scored the first goal assisted by Allie Ison and less then a minute later Kelly Pannek scored the second goal assisted by Dana Buckhorn. In the second half Maria Michels scored assisted by Aly Hoffman and Dana Buckhorn scored the 4th goal unassisted. Thursday 10/6 BSM will play their last conference game of the season vs Chisago Lakes, it should be a good one. Go Red Knights!!! |

NotesThe Red Knights ended their conference season undefeated winning the North Suburban Conference Championship for the 4th year in a row with a record of 8-0-2. The team has not lost a conference game in 4 years. Kelly Pannek lead the scoring with 2 goals. Haley Jerabek also scored and Peggy Renier assisted on 2 of the goals. Congratulations Red Knights on a great conference season!!! |

Notesin OT The Red Knights had a hard time scoring goals in their last game of the regular season. They out shot their opponent 19 to 9 but could not get the result they wanted. They did however end the season undefeated with a tie. The final aseason record was 13-0-3. Megan Katopodis assisted by Peggy Renier scored the first gosl for BSM and Abby Sauer scored her first goal as a varsity player tying the match. Aly Hoffman assisted her on her first goal. Next game will be the 1/4 finals of the Section Tournament on Thursday 10/13, 7:00PM at BSM. |

NotesThe Red Knights started out the scoring in the Section 6 Semi-Final when Peggey Renier scored off an assist from Maria Michels. With about 5 minutes before the first half ended Providence tied the game on a long shot from outside the penalty box. BSM came out the second half determined to win the game and Haley Jerabek scored he game winning goal off a cross from Dana Buckhorn, Dana also assisted Aly Hoffman on the third goal. Allie Coughlin assisted by Kelly Pannek put the game away with the fourth goal. Defenders Anne Arnason, Allie Ison, Katie Oppenheimer and keeper Mikayla Coulombe shut down the lions attack the second half. The Red Knights will meet Holy Family in the section final. Go Red Knights!!! |

NotesSECTION CHAMPS!!! Aly Hoffman lead her team to the State Tournament with 2 goals in the Section Final. Her determination was inspiration for her entire team. Maria Michels also scored and Anne Arnason along with Dana Buckhorn had assist. The defenders Anne Arnason, Allie Ison, Katie Oppenheimer with help from Megan Katopodis did a great job of following the game plan and basically shut down Holy Family's scoring threat. It was a great effort by all the Red Knight players. Congratulations and Good Luck in State!!! |

NotesThe Red Knights applied a lot of pressure early on the Eagles which resulted in a goal by Dana Buckhorn assisted by Katie Oppenheimer in the first 11 minutes of the state semi final game at the Dome. Even though they did not score another goal in the first half Totino Grace never really threatened to score. The players came out the second half and applied the same pressure which resulted in a goal by Peggy Renier assisted by Maria Michels. The Eagles didn't have a answer for the Red Knights high intensity play. Aly Hoffman had been putting a lot of pressure on the right side of the defense all game and was eventually up ended in the penalty box and the team was awarded with a penalty kick. Defensive players Anne Arnason, Allie Ison, Katie Oppenheimer, Anna Barger, keeper Mikayla Coulombe with outstanding help from Megan Katopodis had another stellar game completely shutting down the Eagle's attack. The team recorded their 12th shut-out of the season. Good luck in the championship game. Go Red Knights!!! |
