Student Council: Jr. High

The Junior High Student Council is comprised of elected officers and homeroom representatives who meet monthly to plan parties and service projects. They organize three themed parties per year, featuring a DJ dance, games, crafts, fun contests, and sports/games in the gym. Past service projects have included food/clothing drives for Prism, Mobile Loaves and Fishes, The Crisis Nursery, and the Guatemala mission trips. The Junior High Student Council also raises funds for the Junior High Angel Fund (which benefits junior high student in need) through a very successful (and delicious!) annual bake sale. The group sponsored a BSM junior high variety show last year...a tradition they plan to continue in the years to come.

Elections for 2015-2016 School year will be held in mid-late September, 2015.  Those interested in running for office put up signs and make a short speech to the Junior High students.  More details to come!

2014-2015 Year:

This years social parties and service projects resulted in 32 pounds of toys for Prism (Fall Halloween Party), donations for the Disable Veterans of Minnesota (Winter Decades Flashback Party) and 125 pounds of non-perishable food shelf donations (Spring party @ Roller Garden).

In November, the Junior High Student Council and the Senior High Student Council co-sponsored a school-wide food drive as part of the KARE 11 Food Fight.  It was "Team Julie" (Junior High) vs. "Team Randy" (Senior High) and the winner was Second Harvest Heartland!
